I could have happily devoured this in one sitting
But real life sadly got in the way of this
Magical mystery adventure story
With a feisty fearless female protagonist
At it’s very heart
Along with gorgeous gentle George
Who has totally stolen my heart
And magnificent Mai
Who is definitely going places
I cannot wait to see where
Adventure will lead this
Terrific trio next
For this brilliant and beautiful book
Is the first in a new feminist fantasy series
Perfect reading for mighty girls everywhere
In fact this story would make a magical
Family read aloud
I have reserved the audio book
With our library
So that we can all listen to it

I have loved following Tourmaline
And her incredible friends
As they have raced across land and sea
To search for her missing mother
This is a story of self discovery
Fast paced and filled with
Fun, peril and poignant moments
Between mother and daughter
And the three friends
Every page brings twists and turns
Intrigue and humour
Quite a few moments in this story
Made me stop and think
Particularly a comment about
Artefacts and the concept of ownership
Tourmaline and the Island Of Elsewhere
Sets up the fantasy world
That will be home to many more
Adventures for Tourmaline, George and Mai

On an awesome cliffhanger!
