This bright and colourful, joyful and playful book follows a group of children through their school day. In their school everyone is welcome no matter their race, religion or background. All are welcome. This is a gorgeous rhyming read aloud and the pictures are perfect to pore over. This is a brilliant book that truly celebrates diversity and inclusion. This is a book that shows children we are all special and though we are all different in many ways we are just the same. Edie and I love leafing through the vibrant pages and finding children and telling their stories. We see the children pointing to their home countries on globes and maps, we see children drawing their families of all shapes, sizes and colours. We see children sharing a wonderful array of foods. We see families and friends together.
This is such a wonderful book that really lifts your heart and gives you hope for a better world for our little people. A world where all are welcomed and treated with kindness. A world where everyone knows they are special. A world where every child has a place and is truly valued for who they are. A perfect story to share with littlest readers to remind them that all children are children and we should always be kind and welcoming to others.
