With Easter over it is time to turn our attention to birthdays
Edie will be turning 4 on the 8th of May
And has asked for a yellow bike and lots of rabbits
Her favourite things are pudding, cake, yellow and rabbits
As the youngest of five
There is not much that Edie needs in the way of books and toys
What she really wants is a yellow bike and a flowery helmet
For her bike we are looking at the Gingersnap from Bobbin Bikes
It is a glorious yellow colour
And a super stylish bike that I would quite like for myself
It is very expensive compared to the bikes we have bought for our older children
But she would really love it
And if we look after it it would probably sell on well
Or would be lovely to hand down to cousins, friends or grandchildren
In years to come
I wanted to get her the Banwood Betsy Helmet but I cannot find it in stock anywhere
So think we will go for a fun Doodle Dot one from Micro
Alongside her bike and helmet
Edie has asked for some yellow wellies
And a yellow umbrella
Kidly have some great colour-revealing ones that look great fun
She also wants to dress like a rabbit on her birthday
So I think I am going to get her a dress I have coveted for all of my girls over the years
This gorgeous liberty bunny dress from Wild Things
With a matching bunny hat!!
My mum, Edie’s Nanny, has bought her a gorgeous rabbit coat
From Lottie and Lysh
This is a coat that Edie already has
But she has grown out of it
So it will be lovely to have a new one
These are the exact colours and fabrics we have chosen
I cannot wait for Edie to open this and wear it
My cute little baby babbit
Though she is not a baby anymore
How is it possible that she is going to turn 4?
Another present that Edie will be getting on the 8th May
Is a Big Boo bunny from local small business OddBoo
The beautiful handmade bunny stands at 55cm tall
More than half the height of Edie
I am hoping that they will grow to be good friends
Big Boo comes in pyjamas and I have bought her a dress for daytime too
I am so excited for Edie’s birthday
It is hard not to be when she is looking forward to it so much
She has requested breakfast on a sandy beach
Sandcastle building
Then home for pancakes and presents
Before a visit from Granny and Grandad in the afternoon
She wants to have party food and cakes
And play lots of games in the garden
Here’s hoping for sunshine
To top off her day
The last present I plan to buy for Edie
Is a gift that keeps on giving
All the way til she turns 5
A book box subscription
And I think that I am almost decided on
Books and reading are important to us as a family
As is the value of kindness and so this feels like the perfect gift
For Edie
As she turns 4
4!!!
