Can you believe that tomorrow is December?
My children are beyond excited for advent
And the countdown to Christmas
We have already lit Tilda’s star
Early for us as we usually light it on the 2nd
This year it felt right to light it a little earlier
Tomorrow we will head to the sea
Before we have advent calendars and our December box
Our advent box
We will go to the sea and remember our baby girl
She would be 8 this year
She would be so excited
And in the thick of all the festivities with her siblings
I miss her dreadfully at this time of year
Our Baby Tilda
For the last couple of years our advent has always been marked
In Tilda’s name
Our Advent For Tilda #adventfortilda
Our #adventtoremember
Something special among the babyloss community
Inspired by Jess at The Legacy of Leo
To remember our children who are no longer here
Advent is going to be different this year
More homely
More about playing in the garden
Making Christmas cards and ddecorations
Singing carols
Reading Christmas books
Watching festive films
Feasting on festive foods
This advent more than in recent times will be about our immediate little family
Making it much easier to include Tilda every step of the way
The weather forecast for this week
Says that we might get snow here on Friday
I am so hoping that this year we will get some snow here in Kent
The children are desperate for lots of snow to play in
Wouldn’t it be wonderful?
Our hopes and dreams for this advent
This festive season
Reminded me of the Shirley Hughes classic
Snow In The Garden: A First Book of Christmas
Happy Advent!
