We are huge fans of One Hundred Toys
We love their carefully curated toy collection
We love and share their ethos
Championing being outside in nature
Encouraging free play
Allowing children to be bored
Knowing that less toys can lead to more play
Less toys and toy rotation can lead to better play
As a large home educating family
We often feel overwhelmed with all the toys we accumulate
We are having a clear out this month
Hoping to donate and gift toys to those who need them
And keeping our own collection smaller moving forward
This Christmas though our children deserve a treat
As this year has not been a fun one for anybody
And so I have started some window shopping
Wish list making
And I am sharing my favourite finds with you
Here are five fab things I have spotted with One Hundred Toys
I have always been intrigued by these magnetic puzzles
But we have never owned any or tried them
I do like the look of this one and we love HABA toys
The idea of the number maze is match the colourful balls with the right animals and numbers
The magic of magnetic force brings an extra element to the fun
While the matching and sorting, taking turns and counting all foster playful learning
How awesome does this look?
As a large sibling group
And as a home educating family
I am always on the hunt for toys that work for everyone
And this one totally would
My children love block play
They love building towers and they work well together
They build together
Solve problems together
Face challenges together
Play together
This would be a brilliant toy for some family collaborative play this Christmas
I love the look of this water tray
I can imagine lots of sensory play happening with this
Boats and sea creatures, mermaids
Floating and sinking
Hot and cold
Solid and liquid
So many ways to play
So many concepts to be explored
I can imagine Swallows and Amazons
Peter Pan versus Captain Hook
Moana singalongs!
It is a beautiful looking toy and I think it would keep Edie busy for hours at a time
An expensive toy but I think that it would prove great value for money
My girls would love this
To be honest so would I
It is an acorn shaped bag!
Perfect for woodland walks
Collecting treasures
Perfect little house for cuddly creatures
A lovely bag for children to keep their special things in
It would also look rather fabulous on display
We are huge Olli Ella fans and have lots of their gorgeous toys and accessories
Might have to add this to our collection
I have wanted a Wobbel Board for our playroom for as long as I have known they existed
So much potential for play
Instagram is always full of wonderful small world play set ups
Using the Wobbel
It is also great for developing gross motor skills
And can be used to rock and relax in
Have a look online for ways to play with a Wobbel Board
And I bet that you will end up wanting one too
So many ways to play!
Would make a great ‘big gift’ this Christmas
Five favourites from One Hundred Toys
Have you shopped with them before?
They have lovely toys for babies
And all children up to the age of five
They also have play guides and lots of inspiration for parents
So much more than a toy shop
Do pop over and have a look
