This year I am punctuating our home education with theatre
Esther, William, Bea and Edie all adore the theatre
They love watching shows ‘on stage’
And they all LOVE to perform
This year William is joining the girls at our local Stage School
And they are all continuing with their dance classes
Esther and William are also keen to join a singing group
I spent most of my childhood, teenage years and young adulthood
Involved in amateur theatre
Acting, singing, directing
I loved it all and most of my friendships were born through theatre
It is a passion that I am so happy to pass on
To children of my own
Weaving theatre into our home education really works
We read the books linked to shows that we see
We write reviews
And we talk a lot about the technical aspects of productions
There is SO much for children to learn through theatre
We feel very blessed to work closely with The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury
Who offer a wide range of theatre for children of all ages
We also love Freckle Productions, Scamp Theatre and Tall Stories
Here is what we are hoping to see this year
2020 Family Theatre in London and Kent
Room on the Broom at EM Forster Theatre
This is how we are spending Tilda’s anniverary this year
Mary Poppins at Prince Edward Theatre
Gulliver’s Travels at Unicorn Theatre
The Storm Whale at The Marlowe Studio
This is what we are hoping to do for Tilda’s birthday
She would be 8 this year
Oi Frog and Friends at The Marlowe
White Christmas at The Marlowe
Jack and the Beanstalk at The Marlowe
Such an exciting year for theatre for families in and around Kent
