Christmas shopping is stressing me out a bit this year
I am trying very hard to stick to the not insubstantial budget we have set
But it really does not go far between four children
Especially when I have also used some of the money for Christmas jumpers
And festive clothes to make advent a bit more special
Advent is HUGE in our house
It is my most favourite time of year
I love everything about advent
And have passed the passion, love and enthusiasm on to my little people
I am trying to shop small this Christmas which makes things more expensive
I am trying to follow the children’s interests and of course they keep changing their minds!
In our house Father Christmas brings all the children’s presents
A naive decision I made before any children were ever born!
But I love being a magic maker
I love making the most of this most wonderful time of year
I have so many amazing memories of Baby Tilda from this time in 2012
I just love the festive season
And I always have
But it is different as a parent
And this year the shopping is getting to me a bit
My biggest worry is Edie
Age 2
When Esther, William and Bea were 2 they got big special gifts for Christmas
But now as baby number 5
There are not really many things that Edie wants or needs
But I do have a wishlist for her
My baby girl
My very last little girl
It is a
If Money Were No Object Wishlist
(The best kind of Christmas shopping!)
Want to see the big gift ideas that have caught my eye?
Here we go …
Tri Climb Natural from Babipur
Edie is a climber
Fifth baby first indoor climber
She climbs kitchen drawers, bookcases, shelves, people!
The girl NEEDS a climbing frame
And the Tri Climb would be perfect
It offers lots of physical play potential
And with some cushions and fabric also becomes a cosy den
I can imagine Edie having A LOT of fun with this
And you can add lots of accessories including a slide
Which Edie would LOVE!
Wobbel Board Beech Wood with Felt from Babipur
I have coveted one of these for so long
I think all my children would benefit from a Wobbel Board
Esther and William’s additional needs mean that they they like to move
They move as they think, as they read, as they listen
I think this could be really good for them
For Edie I think it would help her develop her gross motor skills
And give lots of opportunity for imaginative play
This would be something new that we have never had before
Something that could be opened by Edie
But enjoyed by everyone
Banwood First Go Balance Bike from Kidly
I love these retro styled balance bikes
Edie loves bags and baskets
She would love this bike for the bikeability
But she would absolutely love the basket
And the prettiness of the bike
She would be so excited to graduate from her Toddlebike to this
I love the look of this
The Toniebox
The new audio system for children
Turn it on
Pop a Tonie on and simply let the audio adventure begin
When you put a Tonie on for the first time
The story will download directly onto the Toniebox
The Toniebox instantly recognises who’s standing on top
And they have the magic key
The key unlocks the right audio files
So the box can download them from the Toniecloud
The story will begin immediately
Once the LED turns solid green
The audio content has been completely downloaded
And you can play it anywhere without a Wi-Fi connection
This sounds like such a fun way to listen to stories and music
I think it will be perfect for Edie and Bea so they can listen to a story
While I do some work with Esther and William
I think it would be wonderful for Esther
She has dyslexia and relies on audio stories and information
She would this box and take great joy in collecting the different Tonies
This would also look great on display in the playroom
AND we could take it along to ballet classes where someone is always having to wait around
So many possibilities
So much potential
SO many ways to play
Olli Ella Dinkum Doll and Travel Togs
We love Olli Ella
Edie has a Strolley, a Luggy and a Holdie House
This Christmas I am hoping to get her some people for her Holdie House
Along with some furniture
I would also love to get her a Dinkum Doll
With a set of Travel Togs
I would choose Pumpkin for Edie as she loves pumpkins
And has really enjoyed all our pumpkin fun this year
I think having a doll called Pumpkin would remind us of all our magical times
Edie loves to dress and undress dollies
She does not really have a doll that is all hers
It would be nice for her to have such a beautiful doll that is truly hers
A baby doll to push around in her Strolley
These are such beautiful dolls
And I heartily recommend all Olli Ella play things
They are beautifully made and encourage lots of creative play
They will be lovely to keep for grandchildren too
Tenderleaf Toys Pop Up Kitchen from Threadbear Design
I would really like Edie to have a kitchen of her own
As we have five children we do already have a play kitchen
It is in our garden playhouse
Known to all as Bea’s house
I would like Edie to have a little kitchen of her own
This pop up kitchen from Threadbear Design is super cute
Compact and portable
She could play anywhere
Edie LOVES food and she love to help in the kitchen
I think this little hob would be perfect for her
And maybe the smoothie maker and the coffee machine
Ooooh and the fabric shopping bag
Maybe it is a good job
That money is a factor
Otherwise there would be TOO many ways to play!
