This is a paid for post in collaboration with Bed Guru
In three days time Edie will be two and a half
She now sleeps in her own bed
And mostly sleeps through from 6.30pm to around 5am
Recently she has been a bit out of sorts after being poorly
And so we have fallen back into cuddles and milk with mummy in the morning
A habit that has been very hard to break
For both of us
Edie shares a room with Bea
It is William’s old room
And it is a large room
With so much potential
But with very little time and money available
For us to do anything with it
We are also not sure what style of bed the girls should have
Bea has been asking for bunk beds for ages
But after a recent episode where Bea was rather poorly
I am not sure it would be wise to have her sleeping above someone else
I love the idea of floor beds
The ones with house or teepee frames
They can double up as a play den
Or be filled with cushions for cuddles and book reading during the day
Bed Guru have lovely house and teepee beds
And a range of bunk beds too
But I am just really unsure what style and make up of bed we should choose
The girls both love fairies and unicorns
They love animals and especially woodland creatures
I am thinking that a magical woodland theme could work really well
I have been creating a little wish list of products
I have seen online
That would create a calm and magical space
For my littlest girls to relax, read, sleep and play
I cannot explain how much I LOVE this woodland tree display shelf
The girls have so many wooden animals
They would be brilliant displayed on a tree shelf like this one from JoJo Maman Bebe
I would also love a tree book shelf for them
This one from Not On The High Street would be perfect
For almost £1000!!!
Also from JoJo I found some super cute floral armchairs
I could imagine Bea and Edie sitting in two together
Having a little chat
I also found in JoJo Maman Bebe
A lovely set of woodland wall stickers
And a Djeco woodland height chart
We are huge Djeco fans and their products are always gorgeous
I turned to Dunelm for woodland themed children’s bedding
I was not disappointed
And I also found this utterly gorgeous fox cushion
With a lovely fluffy tail!
For storage I think we would use IKEA storage cubes
Our house is filled with them!
But I covet the beautiful storage units that Great Little Trading Co
Use in their gorgeous woodland playroom
We also love 3 Sprouts for storage bins, cubes and caddies
How perfect are these from Dotty Hippo
These coordinate perfectly with what we already have in the playroom
So we would be able to mix and match
The girls both love lights and mirrors
Edie loves to turn the main lights off in their room
And have a torch or a night light to play with
I have found some lovely lights
From Lights 4 Fun
A gorgeous toadstool night light
An adventure wall light
And some perfectly pretty woodland fairy lights
They are perfect for the bedroom I am dreaming of for my girls
I also found woodland creature mirrors
Which would be lovely around the walls of the room
I cannot remember where these were from??
I also found and fell in love with
This Kids Concept Woodland play mat
It is beautiful and would inspire lots of imaginative small world play
This Kids Concept Train would be the perfect present to kickstart that play!
ALL my children would want to play with this!
I think that finding the right bed for our sleeping beauties is going to be the first step
That will be the planting of the seed
Before their magical forest bedroom can really begin to grow
