As a mummy
Working or stay at home
I am not sure we ever really get a day off
Days out are often more work
Than lazy days at home
But this is for those who do
This post shares some ways
Of working
And making money from home
Making days off
And days out
Days for making money
As well as for making memories
To treasure and share
If you are working a 9 – 5 job, trying to arrange a day out can be a nightmare. Depending on your annual leave policy, you may have to wait for other people in the office before you are able to take yours. Fortunately, there are now many careers where you can work from home, and you can even have a career that pays for you to actually go on the days out themselves. If you have come to a point in your life where you are sick of the day in day out drudgery of a ‘normal’ job, then you may be starting to explore what options are available for you to work from home. There are thousands of ways to earn money from home and also get to go on days out either for free or while being paid.
Invest online
With companies like CMC markets, you can invest easily online, and then track your investments on a mobile app. Stocks and shares investing for the average person have been around a while now, but a lot of online trading websites will now let you trade CFDs and Forex as well. If you want to start playing the stock market, you do not even have to invest a lot, as most websites have a minimum of £50. You can buy shares in lots of different companies around the world, you can buy Boeing shares. With them being internet based, you conveniently check all of your trades and the prices of stocks from a smartphone, wherever you are. If you are taking a day out with the family, this means that you do not have to be completely ‘off work’.Become a blogger
Now that blogging is so popular, it is quite a saturated market, but that is not to say that many people do not find success in blogging. If you like the idea of going out and about and seeing the world a bit, then you may want to think about becoming a travel blogger. Although you will have to start off small, and maybe fit it around your existing job, there is nothing to say you can’t build up a following and then get paid to travel and go on days out. You may start with building your audience, and then reaching out to the PR companies of some of the places that you want to go. Many places use a PR company to handle their blogger outreach, so it is best to link with PR companies rather than them themselves. At first, you will more than likely bag a few free days out places, which is still saving you money, especially if they were places that you were going to go anyway.Sell your photography skills
There are many websites like Fotalia that let you sell your photos to people. This is well known, and although it is a great idea, you won’t break the bank with the amount you earn. If you do have a professional camera, or you have a knack for taking great pictures on your smartphone and then editing them to look professional, you may think about advertising these skills on your social channels. Even if you are not a qualified photographer, if you have the talent for it your pictures will speak for themselves. Make yourself up a great portfolio by taking pictures of places that you are already visiting, and then give this to potential clients. The other great thing about doing this, is that when you are visiting a place, if you take some good pictures of it, you can approach the company or the PR company and ask them if they would be willing to buy the picture to use in all of their marketing materials. This may seem a bit unrealistic, but if you price yourself slightly lower than other professional photographers they may just take you up on it. Write yourself up a template email introducing yourself and then also your work, and reach out to people. Even if you haven’t taken picture of that particular place, reach out with your portfolio to newer places and ask them if you could possibly come and take some pictures for a fee. This again will be dependent on how much you under cut other, qualified photographers.
