It has been far too long
Since we did messy, sensory play in our house
With Spring coming we are starting to plan
Taking our tuff spots outside
And creating all kinds of magical places
With sensory, messy materials
As an introduction to that
We have had some fun creating a fairy garden
As part of a larger fairy land
That all three children have enjoyed playing with
We have a rather lovely pink tuff spot
That provided the perfect base for our garden
Together with Esther
Who has the most wonderful imagination
And lots of creative ideas
We set up the tuff spot
We made different sections of our magical world
A rainbow nest nursery
For the baby fairies to live
They each had a nest to sleep in
And were guarded by a Fairy Godmother
We made a forest of flowers
The flowers were protected by
The Flower Fairy Team
Who had their headquarters
In the My Fairy Garden Watering Can
We had a Marshmallow Marsh
For the Marsh Fairies
Protected by glowing toadstool lights
A river of glass beads
Protected by the Gnome Boatman
A fairy meadow
And a fairy tree house
Every magical land for my children
Has to have a magical tree house
Inspired very much by
Enid Blyton’s Magical Faraway Tree
Once the tuff spot was complete
Esther, William and Bea were invited to play
And for two days this is all they played with
In lots and lots of different ways
They acted out stories
Cared for the fairy babies
Counted the mallows (pom poms) in the marsh
Spent a lot of time playing with the glass beads
Bea loved the feel and sound of transferring them from one place to another
She did lots of lovely counting too
William took charge of the tree house
Positioning sentries in strategic places
William tries to bring a battle into every play
But is often overruled by his sisters
Esther set up the nursery nests
Before taking charge of Fenn the Fairy
And the fairy watering can
Fenn was soon made guardian of the flower forest
Using her watering can home to water
Nurture and protect the plants
From her swinging vantage point
She was able to survey the realm
And warn others about any dangers
Esther loves this watering can
And takes it with her everywhere that she goes
She fills it with fairies
And transports them from place to place
As Spring comes we are going to use the can
To water Baby Tilda’s garden
Esther was also given a My Fairy Garden garden
For Christmas
So soon we are going to make that
And use the magical watering can to tend it
The watering can is very pretty
And comes with it’s own mini gardening tools attached
They have been used as weapons against evil in our imaginary play
I think William managed to sneak in a giant lion
So Esther defended the kingdom with her dainty fairy fork!
We have had such fun with our fairy wonder land
And are looking forward to more fairy adventures
As the seasons change
We are now huge fans of My Fairy Garden
And love all the potential play ideas they offer
With their fun fairy garden range
We were sent one watering can for the purpose of this review
