When you have your fifth baby
Your fourth daughter
She does not really need much in the way of clothing
Everything is handed down
From sister to sister to sister
As it should be
But every new human being needs some things that are just for them
Especially when it comes to clothing and accessories
I think it helps establish an individual identity from the start
I have also found with our girls
That their colouring has all been slightly different
Esther suits pale colours, pastels
Matilda suited navy and red and bright colours
Bea suits autumnal shades
I love her in mustard, burnt orange and navy
I have no idea what this last baby will suit
But at the very beginning
As with all her siblings before her
She will have a few things from me
To start her off in style
A theme shared by all our children
Has been stars
Made all the more poignant by losing Tilda
To the stars
As this is our last baby
I want to make the very most of the newborn days
I want to savour them
Photograph them
Film them
I want them to be lovely
I think you might find these things lovely too
Especially if like me you are expecting a little girl
A daughter of your own
Here is my little list of Lovely from aden + anais
Lovely Short Sleeve Kimono Bodysuit
Our weather is incredibly unpredictable
Looking back at when Matilda Mae was born
It was quite warm through May and June 2012
Who knows what the weather will be this year
So I am going to be prepared
With summer and winter outfits
For hospital and coming home
One thing I do know is that labour wards and NICUs
Are always roasting
So it is best to have some short sleeves for mummy, daddy and baby
This Lovely short sleeve suit is perfect alone
Or as an under layer
It is very pretty for a newborn baby girl
Lovely Long Sleeve Kimono Bodysuit
A perfectly pretty
Soft and breathable
Muslin bodysuit
Perfect as a stand alone item for a Spring baby
Or for lovely layering
This is just so adorable
Perfect for bringing home a newborn baby girl
And introducing her to the world
A subtle pink pattern
Softest muslin
Hearts filled with loveliness
So many uses
Wrap me up
Mop me up
Swaddle me
Cuddle me
Cover me
Comfort me
Protect me
Play with me
What can you NOT do with muslin cloths?
And these swaddles are wonderful
Versatile
So pretty
So Lovely!
When Bea was born
I was induced
So we were unsure how long our hospital stay might be
I wanted to have home comforts
And pretty things around me
It is quite likely that I will be induced again this time
And so I am once again planning to take things from home with me
I want to surround myself with Lovely things
Including this beautiful Dream Blanket
To lay over me and baby as we rest after the birth
To lay baby on to take her first photos
To take home with us to snuggle in bed and on the sofa
Drinking in those Lovely newborn days
Oh I am so excited now
For our Lovely last baby to be born
To be with us
To be in my arms
All being well
We have just 12 weeks to wait
As this is our last baby
I want to make the very most of the newborn days
I want to savour them
Photograph them
Film them
I want them to be lovely
How lovely. So pretty and yet understated. So simple and soft for newborns and a mum with a newborn in her arms.
I love the photo of your heart hands over your bump.
I’m sure the next 12 weeks will be full of exciting plans, some new things to buy and before you know it, Sprinkle will be in your arms, being showered with love.
Enjoy this special final trimester. xxx
