And Halloween themed sensory play
First though I want to tell you about
Some of the tricks and treats from Tesco
That have made our Halloween
Super spooky and special
Pretty Scary Costumes
We have two costumes from Tesco this year. A scary pirate skeleton and a pretty spider witch. The children have loved wearing their costumes out and about to different Halloween events as well as wearing them around the house for spooky seasonal play. The spider witch dress is age 6 but looks equally cute on Bea as it does on Esther. The costumes are well made and great value for money. My children have not stopped wearing them for the whole time we have had them and I know that their play value will continue well past Halloween.
Scary Skeleton Candy Bowl
I think that this has definitely been the most loved and used Halloween accessory this year. It is a bowl to put sweets in but then when you try to take the sweets out the skeleton tries to stop you. It is very funny if slightly scary. I will be showing you a fun Halloween game you can play using this fabulous fun bowl
These sturdy and strong, plastic coated paper plates are great for Halloween parties. We have used ours for ordinary tea, for pretend food tea, play dough tea and for making spooky spider snacks. The plates would work equally well for a grown ups soiree or a children’s tea party.
Coloured Halloween Beakers
When I buy party cups I like to buy plastic ones that will last rather than paper cups. These beakers are brilliant for drinking from and also fabulous for spooky snacks for a Halloween themed movie night. We have mostly used ours for messy play and water play. We have used them for mixing, pouring and serving witches’ brew.
Glow in the Dark Treat Bucket
This bucket would be great to take trick or treating. We do not go out at Halloween. We are a stay at home, family party kind of Halloween family. But if you do trick or treat then this glow in the dark bucket could be the thing for you. It can also be used to display sweets at home. For us, it makes a fantastic water and sensory play accessory. William had great fun changing the colour of the bucket by filling it with different coloured water. More on that coming soon!
Dancing Skeletons
If like me you were a teenager in the 90s I think this friendly skeleton DJ may hold a special place in your heart.
Who did not not love C&C Music Factory? Gonna make you sweat til you bleed!
Haunted House Sign
Let Trick or Treaters know that they are welcome with a sign on your door or use this sign to show where the Halloween Party is at.
Halloween Table Cover
Halloween table covers can be used to create a spooky setting for a Halloween party or tea. They can also be used to protect your home from Halloween art and craft activities and to dress a tuff spot for messy and sensory play.
Oreos
We used these awesome chocolatey biscuits to make spiders and bats. A full post coming up on the blog telling you how to do it too!
Halloween Decorations
Tesco has gone all out this Halloween, with decorations, lights and accessories to spook up your home for the season. Pop into your local store or have a look online to see what you can do.
Happy Halloween!
