Ice has a magic,
can’t be controlled.
Stronger than one, stronger than ten,
stronger than a hundred men! Ho!
We try to get outside every day
Even if it is just a run around the garden
We do try to get outside
This past weekend we had dreams of snow
But our dreams did not come true
We could not act out Frozen scenes
Of building a man of snow
But we could pretend to be ice harvesters
Ice sellers
We could pretend to be ‘the hundred men’
We went for a walk around the fields beyond our garden
The muddy puddles had turned to solid ice
Esther, William and Bea had a wonderful time
Stabbing and smashing and crunching the ice
Cut through the heart, cold and clear.
Strike for love and strike for fear.
There’s beauty and there’s danger here
Split the ice apart
Beware the frozen heart…
The wonderful thing about having children close in age
Is their magical ability to lose themselves in play
To immerse one another in a make believe world
Esther and William are always playing
Nothing with them is ever as it seems
They are always acting
Forever in role
And Bea is following in their footsteps fast
Their latest love is putting on shows
They have a stage
They have music
They love to perform
To dance
They also love being outside
And every path we take
Becomes a story
An adventure
A show
As we crunched along our frozen mud path
Esther and William constructed their story
Weaved their web of adventure
And imaginary play
They experienced the great outdoors
Made the most of mother nature
Through their amazing minds
And their incredible, emotional link with each other
Being a twin is a magical thing
A ready made best friend
Play mate
Co Star!
Esther and William, and Bea
Adore all the things I hoped they would
Magic, adventure, music, rhyme
Stories, songs, princesses and dragons
Pirates and potions and mystical things
They are so curious
So inquisitive
They love to question and explore and learn
We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

I adore my children
I love watching them grow
I am proud and honoured to be their mummy
And so happy to play my part in shaping their childhood
Facilitating their play
How lucky am I?
Are we?
I hope we live #HealthilyEverAfter
With Tilda in our hearts
