With less than three weeks to go until the end of term

I am feeling ready for a holiday

As a teacher who is also Mummy to three very young children

The Christmas holidays will not provide much rest and recuperation

Lots of festive fun and family gatherings

Unrelenting Christmas chaos …

I will undoubtedly be starting the new year and the next term

Even more poorly and shattered than I feel now

What I really need is a holiday

A week in the sun

Somewhere I can relax with a book

Somewhere with a pool

And a swim up bar!

I want to have a lie in

Eat a meal with David

Have date nights that involve moonlit seas

And sand between our toes

Time together

Just us two

To take long walks

Explore and experience new things

Remember each other

But mostly I would like some winter sun sun to kiss my skin

And warm my bones

I want to charter a plane

For a last minute runway runaway
