There is nothing my children like more
Than a spot of sensory play
The messier the better!
Recently we have been busy with sand and water play
Our messy play has been a little limited
Since Bea has been on the move
Now Bea is one
She is absolutely ready to get involved with some edible messy fun
But first she has been busy experiencing water play and sand
Only in the last few weeks
Has she stopped automatically putting everything in her mouth
Now, with supervision and guidance, she adores being able to play
Alongside her older siblings
Especially Esther
Esther and Bea
Sisters in the sand!
Over the last few weeks we have been testing some sand toys from Scrunch
A bucket, a spade and some rather lovely sand moulds
We have tested the toys in the sand pit
And in the water table too
We already owned one Scrunch bucket
That I bought at Easter
It is very handy now having two
Scrunch buckets are squashable, foldable buckets
Perfect for use at home or by the sea
Or in any sand pit
They are great for days out where you suspect there might be sand play
As the buckets fold small enough to be put inside a day bag
Or rucksack
I was not sure how good such a soft bucket would be
At building sandcastles
But I need not have worried
The sandcastles were not sub standard in any way
They were super!
The moulds are great too
They can be used for making 3D scultpures
Or printing on the sand
They are also great for babies to chew
And wonderful for water play
Making very special fairy boats!
As far as I can tell
We can call the spade a spade
A small PVC spade with a soft handle
Making it perfect for little hands
To get to grips with
These are good quality play accessories
They are modern and sleek to appeal to the parental eye
But have clearly been designed with busy little people in mind
We use ours mostly in our garden
They have been a fun addition to our sand and water play
Magic happens in our garden when the sand pit is open
And the water is sprinkled with glitter and petals
Magic happens when children play
And at the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy and your eyes sparkling
Shanti
We were sent a Scrunch bucket, spade and a set of moulds for the purpose of this review.
Would love to see the result of using the footprint mould the other way up – to make footprints in the sand instead of 3-D sculptures… Do they work this way too?
oh yes! They would do yes x
