Naming a baby is one of the most exciting things
It is such an honour
Such a responsibility
To give a child a name
Their names
Your children’s given names
I loved naming our children
You can read the stories of their names by clicking on them below
I love reading name books
Browsing threads on forums
Completing quizzes on websites
The Co-op have come up with a new baby name checker
Designed to give you peace of mind
That the name you have chosen for your child
Is a good one
With no unfortunate not well known connections
Co-Op’s Baby Name Peace of Mind tool allows you to search baby names
And get an overview of the achievements of adults with that name
“Rachel” is an academy award winning name, that has won 5 gold medals
But is also the name of 2 tropical cyclones
Peace of Mind is a quirky way to find out interesting things about a potential baby name
Such as the baby name being common among notorious crime bosses
Or Nobel peace prize winners
Naming children is never easy
It is especially difficult I think
When you are a teacher
And when you have lots of children of your own
Having three girls
It was much harder to name Bea
Than Esther or Tilda
When I think about the possibility of not having another baby
I feel sad that I will not have that excitement again
That responsibility
That pressure
The pressure of a name!
Bea has turned one this week
We have been celebrating one whole year of Beatrice Hope
Our bringer of joy
Of hope and joy
And how she has lived up to her name!
She is a chubby, cheeky ray of sunshine
And we all adore her
Baby Bea
She is definitely not a Mabel, Cordelia or Ida
The names we considered calling her
She is very much a Beatrice
Our beautiful Rainbow
This is a collaborative post
What a beautiful photo of Bea x
What a lovely photo 🙂
