As the weather warms up
I am starting to think about the summer coming
And what I might wear
Bea will be one in August
And I may have some time
When I can wear non breastfeeding clothes for a while
It has been a while since I wore non maternity
Non nursing clothing
I have a dream that when I am finished having and feeding children
I will start to earn some money of my own
And grow older gracefully
Dressed in clothes from brands I have long coveted
Monsoon
The White Company
Boden
Joules
Imagining that the weaning of Bea goes to plan
Over the next few weeks
And months
Here are some of the things
I might just wear this summer
I am having to rethink my style a bit
Now that I do not have my long wavy hair
When my hair is long
I would say that my summer style
Is what Monsoon might call
Festival style
But this summer
I am going for something more like this
I love the shape of these dresses from The White Company. The detail in the shape make them easy to wear. I think they would flatter my shape. I am generally skinny with a tubby tum. I can imagine wearing them with pumps or flip flops to garden parties and meals out through the summer.
I have recently discovered that I suit wearing the colour green, especially now that I have dyed my hair really dark again. I love this green ‘Blackberry’ dress from Boden. Would be a lovely summer day dress with some flat summer shoes.
Sticking with green I love this casual Riviera dress from Joules that would be perfect with white pumps and my new bobbed hair.
Because I know that there will be some feeding days through the summer I have just ordered this fabulous feeding dress from Frugi. We are a true Frugi family and all apart from Daddy have clothes from this British brand. I love the shape of this dress and the floral print.
I love midi skirts at the moment and the Skylark skirt from Seasalt looks amazing. I love the Tudor Rose Peel print, so striking and bright for making a mark this summer.
Perhaps I am still going to have that festival feel to my summer style after all?
What would you say is your summer style?

Lovely choices Jennie. I love the blackberry dress, and the print on the Seasalt skirt is so pretty and perfect for summer xx
Lovely bright colours, I have a very typical ‘mum style’ but to be fair I don’t have much style at all! Really struggling at the moment to find a dress for a wedding next month! x
