I have not been writing that much over the festive season
I have not been on social media
I have enjoyed it
The quiet
Getting engrossed in television
Doodling in a notebook
Talking to my husband
I do not want to stop blogging
I do not really want to blog less
But I also have no clue as to where I want my blog to go
I feel it is lacking structure at the moment
I have barely written about Bea
And I want to so much
I wonder if I am avoiding it
As a mark of respect to Tilda
Matilda Mae was my blog baby
Baby Bea is very much an Instagram baby
Both it and she are new to me
Life has also changed with Esther and William starting school
I have promised myself I will not blog about school
It is not fair on Esther, William or the school
Last term we all struggled
I do not like them being at school full time
It really impacts on their behaviour and the quality of our home life
I am also not sure how much they are learning
This term they will be attending part time
On the afternoons that they are home
We will be returning to what we do best
Learning together through messy and sensory play
I have lots of exciting ideas for themes as the year goes on
I am studying the early years curriculum and planning maths and english activities
As part of our play
I am really looking forward to starting our new routine
I am also going to be looking after me much more
During the time Esther and William are at school
I want to change my diet and start some exercise
I want to get out and about with Bea
All of these things will be reflected here
On my blog
Messy and sensory play posts
Out and About with Bea posts
(We are going to explore the best places to visit with babies and small children in Kent)
Meal planning and exercise updates
Learning to write and read posts
Picture book activity planning
And much more
And I am going to start telling you a bit more about Bea
She really is rather marvellous
And all of this
The written word
Will be punctuated with pictures
I am trying to join in with photo communities this year
To share my photography
And gain inspiration from others
And I have begun
The photos
I have joined in with #snaphappybritmums
And I am once again trying to complete Photo 365
I have started a few times and never managed to finish it
I am hoping this year is my year
You can follow my progress with all the photography challenges on Twitter and Instagram
And I will also be sharing the stories behind some of my favourites here
My blog may be random and rambling
It may lack in style and structure
But it is my blog
Celebrating, capturing, commemorating
Me and mine
Your blog can be whatever you want it to be. Does it need a structure? Or can it just be
Sounds perfect Jennie… Your blog is your little space and should reflect you… Don’t worry about structure and organisation. We love reading you just as you are!
I’ve found the thinking time and space over Christmas has really helped. Hoping you find some answers.
You may feel you’re lacking in structure here but this little corner or the blogosphere is YOUR little corner and as such it reflects YOU and we LOVE it for that reason – as we love you. So happy to see you feeling positive about your photography and memory making with Bea. Hewge hugs xx
