I cannot believe that it has already been a week since The Baby Show
I had such a wonderful day with my sister and Ami, from Beebies Baby Store
Even though we left home while it was still dark and were inside Olympia by 9am
I still felt like the day was rushed
I am definitely going to stay overnight for the Excel Show in February
And have some special mummy and daughter time with Bea
The Baby Show Olympia is enormous
I am certain that I did not manage to see half of the exhibitors there
I am going to Excel with more of a plan
And an actual list that I can tick off through the day
I prefer Excel as a venue
So I really cannot wait to go
Between then and now I am going to be telling you about some of the brands and products
That were at Olympia and will also be at Excel
I am going to start by telling you about my day
Who and what I saw
And what I came away with
The first person we bumped into at the show
Was Emily from BundleBean
It was great to see her
And I bought Bea a red star BundleBean
To use over the festive period
The BundleBean is great for keeping little ones warm and dry
In a buggy but also when you are wearing them
The red stars are perfect for Christmas
Remind me of Tilda
And go beautifully with my Morrck Maternity and Beyond coat
After catching up with Emily and giving her cuddles with Bea
We headed to the iCandy press event
This was a show round of their stand
I have never owned or reviewed an iCandy product
Or had much to do with them at all really
But I wanted to support them as they work closely with The Lullaby Trust
And donate some of their profits from certain products to helping families like mine
And fighting SIDS
iCandy have recently introduced a luxury range of changing bags
Including one named after my idol, Emilia Fox
I have had the honour of meeting Emilia
And telling her Tilda’s story
She was every bit as lovely as I hoped she would be
She is an ambassador for The Lullaby Trust
Which makes me love her even more
The Emilia bag from iCandy is stunning
And for every bag that is sold
iCandy will donate £10 to The Lullaby Trust
As well as bags and obviously buggies iCandy have also just launched
A range of luxury baby blankets
Stunning colours in a range of materials and designs
iCandy also launched an all terrain pram at The Baby Show
This looks like a fantastic pram
For country dwellers like us
It has wonderful chunky wheels
I love that the carry cot has feet
So that it does not have to be placed on the floor
And gives increased ventilation
A clever safe sleep idea from iCandy as well as a pretty pram!
Walking round the show with Bea was wonderful
So many people wanted to say hello and have a cuddle
One cuddle I really wanted Bea to have
Was one from Elizabeth, the CEO of Count The Kicks
This lady, this charity, held my hand through my rainbow pregnancy
They had travelled the path before me
And they showed me the way
I will always be grateful for that
And I was so proud to see Elizabeth holding Bea
As part of my duties as Official Blogger for The Baby Show
I watched and tweeted from the Mums Know Best debate
While I was busy tweeting
Bea enjoyed a snuggle with Melanie
From Photography For Little People
We are hoping to meet up again
To talk about the services that Mel’s company is able to offer
For sunshines, angels and rainbows like mine
After the debate we stopped by the Babyopathy stand
To see the launch of their book
I am really looking forward to reading it
And sharing my thoughts on it with you, here
I did not manage to see all the people I wanted to see at the show
I did see Funky Giraffe Bibs
Where I bought 6 bandana bibs for £10
I also bought three pairs of Dotty Fish shoes
Esther and William adore theirs
And wear them as slippers
One of the brands I most wanted to see was Baby Rug
I was excited to try their new baby carrier
My sister and I both came away from the show with a Suppori
We were able to test them at the show with our babies
And talk to the ladies at Baby Rug about them
The Suppori is an innovative baby carrier from Japan
Your baby straddles the side of your body
As in a hip carry
The sling covers your shoulder
And baby’s back and hips
There are no rings, buckles or ties
It is one piece of breathable material
That holds your baby in close to you
It can even be worn in the sea or swimming pool
And it folds small enough to fit in your pocket
I am looking forward to lots of babywearing with Suppori
So smitten was I with the Suppori that I forgot to ask about and look at
One thing I did not forget to do
Was have my biannual drool over the Stokke stand
You can read all about that here
We really did have a lovely day at the show
The Ooba was our chariot of choice
And we got lots of admiring glances
And many compliments throughout the show
I did not see another Ooba there
So we felt very special indeed
By 4.00pm we were starting to flag
And Baby Bea was exhausted
It was time to get across London
And for us to head home
I hope that you enjoyed The Baby Show if you were there last weekend
I would love to hear of your highlights
I will be busy getting ready for Excel now
Bringing you all the news of what will be new
And what will be on offer at the show
I hope you will continue to follow our journey
And perhaps we will meet at Excel
I love my Suppori. Such a clever thing!
I hope to see you at the ExCel xxx
What a brilliant post Jennie. You are doing a perfect job as the official show blogger.
PS I really loved seeing you and Bea there x
What lovely photos and I love your pram! It sounds like a great day out I wish I could go to a baby show like this but they are too far away x
