Back in June as part of the Asobi Ambassador programme
We tested and reviewed some Creative Collage Kits from The Orb factory
Which we loved
The Orb Factory is a brand known to us
As back in 2013
Esther and William tested some Sticky Mosaics
From Cre8tive Kids
This month we have been getting sticky with it again
With a My First Sticky Mosaics Kit
From Kind Toys
Almost a year since our last test
And not that much has really changed
Esther still enjoys this kind of activity more than William
She enjoys all art and craft activities more than he
Her fine motor skills are more developed because of this
So she finds the small movements
The manipulation needed for this style of sticking
Much easier than him
Of course it also means that it is William
I would love to see spending time doing exactly this kind of thing
Developing his fine motor skills
To build the strength and refine the movements he needs for writing
To entice William I set up our latest review in the lounge
I put a blanket down and surrounded it with cuddly animals
Cuddly jungle animals
Cover a range of topics
All children will love
Vehicles, Fairies, Ponys, Pretty Things
We were sent Jungle Animals to review
So we made a start on our Sticky jungle pals
Surrounded by our cuddly jungle friends
With Raa Raa on the TV!
Esther is able to complete My First Sticky Mosaics independently
She chose her animal, an elephant
And started sticking straightaway
William chose a lion
And chose to stick with me
It was a slow process
And he did not finish a picture
What he did do
What we all did
Was discuss the colour, shape and texture of the stickers
Our Jungle Animals Sticky Mosaic Set contained four animal picture cards
And all the stickers and jewels required to complete each picture
There was a range of sparkly jewels, shiny shapes and fluffy, felty pieces
Esther particularly liked the gem stones and the pretty pink hearts
My First Sticky Mosaic sets come with a hanging hoop
Meaning that you hang your finished picture up on the wall
This small addition means that a fun and simple craft activity
Can be made into a rather lovely gift
I think we might make some mosaic pictures
To give to the teachers at school
And on Christmas Day I think Esther and William will find the next level of Sticky Mosaics in their stockings
William would love dinosaurs and Esther is fascinated by unicorns
