Rainbow Baby and I have been very lucky these past 18 or so weeks
We have tried a range of maternity wear from different brands and shops
As we head into our final 7 weeks of being one
I would like to tell you about some of the maternity fashion we have tried
Starting with Mamalicious which is now available to buy in store at Kiddicare
I love Mamalicious for every day maternity wear
Things you can get up, throw on and feel good in
Mamalicious maternity wear is incredibly easy to wear
Great for lounging and being out and about
Even their simplest tops have little feminine details
Like ruching and gathers that make you feel pretty
Make you feel lady like
Make you feel Mamalicious!
Kiddicare sent me a selection of casual clothing from the Mamalicious range to try
And they have become some of my second and early third trimester favourites
Over the bump denim skirt
I was very hesitant to try this skirt as I just don’t ‘do’ skirts in real life. However, when I am pregnant I am little less self conscious about lumps and bumps. Actually, this skirt is incredibly flattering and it is really easy to wear. It has a lovely soft fabric top section that pulls up over your bump so the skirt always feels secure. It is great with tights and boots and with leggings and flip flops. I am sure that now the summer is definitely here it would also look great with bare legs, ones that are browner than mine! A great every day skirt, practical, comfortable and easy to wear.
Red and white stripe maternity and nursing top
I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this top. I wear it all the time. It is beautifully cut and so flatters a growing bump. I have worn it every week and am amazed that it continues to sit beautifully over my bump while accentuating the few skinny bits I have remaining. I love the way this top pulls in under the bust. Wearing this top fills me with confidence and I feel great in it.
The top works well with leggings, a denim skirt, with jeans, with trousers. I think I would actually wear it with pretty much anything. This is a great value top too because it has easy nursing access for after the birth. I have washed this top after every wear and it has not faded or sagged or bobbled. It is definitely my favourite Mamalicious item and the one thing that has made me want to go out and buy more from this maternity range.
Grey maternity top
This is a really simple wrap style top. It is great for throwing over a vest and leggings for lounging in. I am looking forward to wearing this when Rainbow Baby is here over a feeding vest. It is very soft and though it is plain, this top is not dull as it has beautiful folds and gathers and ruching to give it a really feminine feel. Light enough to be a summer evening cover up.
Grey and cream maternity jumper
This is a lovely jumper dress. Again when you first look at this tunic style top you wonder how it is going to look on but the clever little details mean that it is flattering over a mid size bump. This is a winter warmer I think and best for the second trimester.
Nautical maternity tankini
I really love this tankini. It is really easy to wear and has little decorative details that make it feel very special. I wore this to Alton Towers water park and felt confident and comfortable in it, splashing about with Esther and William. The top is also great for just being out in the garden on a hot summer day. The straps are adjustible and there is a tie under the bust too which gives a flattering shape through all stages of pregnancy. This is swim wear that grows as you and your bump do.
Mamalicious is a great maternity range and is now available in store at Kiddicare across the UK.
As I now have only 7 weeks left to grow this Rainbow Baby I am looking to buy clothes that work well for the third trimester and the fourth. Those early days with Baby when the most important thing to be able to do is feel comfy and confident and be able to feed.
Mamalicious has a great range of clothing for this time.
To browse the range for yourself you can find your nearest Kiddicare Store here
I was sent the clothing items mentioned free of charge for the purpose of this review
Love this post and your gorgeous pictures, Jennie. Thank you so much for such a super review; I’m glad you loved the items so much.
Have a confession…I recently bought a dress from this range…I’m not actually pregnant but it’s such a lovely cut and comfy!
