Esther and William aged nearly four
Born at 27 weeks
Are very small for their age
After a disappointing trip to Legoland last year
It had never entered my mind to try a theme park again
Not until they were much older and much taller
Then Konfidence invited us to stay at Alton Towers
And the opportunity was too good to miss
We stayed in the Splash Landings Hotel
And had a wonderful time playing in the water park
But we also spent a few hours in Alton Towers itself
We took the Sky Train (Monorail) from the hotel to the theme park
I had never been to Alton Towers before
I felt excited because Esther and William were excited
The sky train alone would have been enough for them
But as we alighted at the station
We were all swept along with the music playing around the park
Caught up in the commotion of the naughty pirates advertising their show
Esther and William loved being able to have a cuddle with Sid
It was wonderful
Magical
And set in a truly beautiful place
I would have been quite happy to sit on the grass by the lake
While the others roamed the park
It is a lovely place to have a picnic on a sunny day
And there is so much to do
For all the family
All ages and all sizes
At just 90cm William was measured for every ride we tried
But he was able to go on
And he was in his element
He rode the pirate ship with Daddy
And went on his very first rollercoaster
The Runaway Mine Train
William and Esther loved the Sky Ride
Daddy got to go on Nemesis
Eagerly encouraged by his offspring
Esther and William both loved the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ride
We were all able to go on the merry go round
And had a rare photo of us together
Esther and William had the soft play area to themselves
And they loved, though were terrified of, the Ice Age 4D show
It was a day filled with smiles and squeals of delight
It was a day filled with cuddles and laughter
It was a day when we did things we do not usually do
It was just what we needed
Some time to just be
To just be together
And I will always, always be grateful
To Konfidence for making it happen
Thank you Konfidence
With all my heart thank you
Konfidence sent us to stay for one night at Alton Towers to review their swimming accessories at the water park. You can read that review here
I’m so glad that you all had a lovely time, we were pleasantly surprised by how much the little man could go on (he is JUST 90cm too and was measured everywhere) and he’s such a daredevil so I’m glad he could ride on so many things. Lovely photos Jennie, it really does look like you all had so much fun, our weekend there was full of smiles and laughter too, we’re so grateful to Konfidence. x
I can’t believe that William went on the Runaway Mine Train, what a daredevil! I have been on that a few times and it’s quite fast for a little person! I am glad you had a lovely time together as a family, you deserve it all so much. Lots of happy little faces! x
Looks like you all had a fun time x
