Baby Tilda Barn Dance

I have made a tough decision tonight

The Baby Tilda Barn Dance will be my final event for The Lullaby Trust

For a little while

barn dance small

I want to batten down the hatches for a while

Growing this Rainbow Baby is much harder than I thought it would be

And I am missing Matilda Mae more and more every day

I want to keep her to myself for a while

I want to cherish the time I have left with Esther and William

Before we lose them to the world of school

I want to get my head around the fact that we are having a baby

There is going to be a baby in our lives again

I need to make myself understand that she will not be Matilda Mae

I want to enjoy the summer

And I also have some exciting plans

For working with Tommy’s and Count The Kicks

Together with my lovely bump buddy Born Silently

I want to organise an event

That both remembers our babies gone but

Also celebrates our Rainbows being here

I hope and pray with all my heart

That both our Rainbows will be here

But this is it

The Baby Tilda Barn Dance

My last big event for a while

I want it to be a good one

And I would love for you to be there

Life is a dance. Sometimes we lead, sometimes we follow. Don’t worry about what we don’t know, what’s important is we learn new steps as we go.

  1. Jennie, Thank you so much from everyone at The Lullaby Trust for everything that you have done for us in Tilda’s memory, not only for fundraising an incredible amount of money but also for raising so much awareness of sudden infant death. We look forward to hearing all about Tilda’s barn dance, but more importantly we wish you lots of luck with your #rainbowbaby. Please do stay in touch & let us know if you need anything. With best wishes, The Lullaby Trust x

  3. I have wanted to read a post like this from you for some time. You matter and it is important for you to take care of yourself. You will always grieve but I sense you are turning another corner in that journey. All I would say is watch yourself – you are a do-er so it might be hard to step back quite as much as is good for you. Sent with the best of wishes. All the very best with the event too.
