Last year I dragged myself hour by hour through February
I spent a lot of time writing Tilda’s funeral
As I heave myself through this February
Hour by hour
I am spending a lot of time
Writing and planning Matilda Mae Remembers
On the first of March 2014
St David’s Day
We are inviting bereaved parents, siblings and families to come together
To remember all babies in the sky
This is not a service focused only on Tilda
It is a memorial service for anyone who has lost a baby
However that may be, at whatever stage of pregnancy, infancy or childhood
We invite you to come together with us and remember
The service will be held at St Mary’s Church in Kennington, Ashford
At 11.00am
Afterwards we will be going to The Conningbrook Hotel, Kennington, Ashford
Where people are welcome to join us
There will be a creche in the hall next to the church
Supported by the wonderful Beebies Baby Store
The order of service will be printed online along with copies of the music being played
So if you cannot make the church you can still be part of the service
We will be using the hashtag #mmremembers
As another way for people to be involved
If you can make the church
You will hear poems, songs, Bible readings and personal stories
You might even get to watch Noggin’ the Nog!
You can find all the information that you need right here
All you need to do is turn up on the day
The first few rows of seats in the church will be reserved for readers and speakers
To ensure that the service runs smoothly
Apart from that you can sit wherever you choose
This is not only remembering Matilda Mae
The service is inspired by her
It is using Matilda Mae to help us all remember others
The sky is too full of angels
And I want to shout their names out loud!
I hope that you might come and join us.
A beautiful idea Jennie xxx
You are a very special lady, Jennie x
Beautiful idea, I hope you all find it a peaceful and reflective time x
I hope the service yesterday was everything you wanted it to be?
My little family was fortunate to be invited to the christening of the baby son of some dear friends of ours yesterday – a very different service to the one your family was attending. But even in that sun filled church in Central London Matilda Mae was at work as the priest (slightly surprisingly) asked the congregations to include in their prayers all those babies lost to us. I was already thinking of you (as I often do) but I offered up an extra little Tilda prayer at that point – just one of many yesterday I am sure. X
