Esther and William were each given a torch for Christmas
In fact, they were given two
One from us that projects stars and planets onto flat surfaces
And a normal, everyday torch from Granny and Granddad
Esther and William had many many wonderful presents this Christmas
But their torches are definitely favourites
They were very useful for roaming the farm at Coombe Mill
They were great fun for exploring the darkest nooks and crannies of the Eden Project
And tonight
We went on a torch walk around our garden
Granny and Granddad were with us
As we squelched and squerched around the garden
Such smiles
Such excitement
Going out after dark
Exploring a garden
That looks so different
In the light of the moon and the stars
And their torches.
Make the most of these clear dark nights
Rediscover the outside
With a torch walk!
Love this idea, Jennie! So simple and yet so entertaining for little ones xx
Sounds magical. We spend much of our life with Twinkle marvelling at what shape the moon is, and where it is in the sky! She is always excited when it is out in the daytime! A torch walk sounds lovely.
What a super idea and man…those smiles don’t half tell a story of wonder and excitement. x
Such a lovely idea. Our toddlers love using torches in the house. Going to have to try this when the weather isn’t so wet and windy!
What a fab idea. My two love torches, can’t believe I didn’t think of this. Thank you x
