After the excitement of the Matilda Mae Sky Dive I arrived home feeling very emotional and missing my baby girl so much.
Sitting by the front door was a box addressed to me and inside a beautiful A4 photo book from Photo Box. In all the excitement of the weekend I had forgotten the book that I had put together in less than an hour on their website.
I have so many photographs of Baby Tilda but all of them are on my laptop.
My best friend made me a large table top book shortly after Tilda died which is in her cot waiting to take pride of place in my Matilda Mae window seat when it is complete.
I wanted a book that was durable and easy to hold and show to visitors and also to share with Esther and William.
The hardback A4 photo book by Photo Box is just perfect.
The personalised photo book has 60 pages of photographs that I arranged in chronological order to show The Little Life of Matilda Mae from 3 months on. You will recognise many of them from this blog.
It is a wonderful book and I look at it every day.
It sits on our mantelpiece in the lounge and Baby Tilda is beaming out from the matt finished cover.
She used to love sitting in front of the fire and so it seems the perfect place for the book to live.
Here are some photos of the pages from the book.
She truly was a beautiful and photogenic baby.
Everyone who has seen and held the book has commented on how wonderful it is. A beautiful record of her life. The book is really great quality. It is sturdy and the photos are really clear. It is perfect!
Because of the number of pages the book would cost £77 to buy. Which at first I thought sounded like a lot of money but then I thought about the fact that it is a record of an entire life, a book to be treasured, to be looked at every day for the rest of my life and it does not seem very expensive at all.
I rely on technology to view and store the majority of my photos but there is something a little magical about having them in a book.
Especially a book of such quality.
Photo Box is not new to me. I have used it for making Christmas cards, party invitations, books and canvases, I have always been pleased with every product I have bought.
I also love that my photos are stored on the website so that they can be used over and over again.
I love looking back at my albums as slideshows.
This is a lovely one of Esther and William’s second year.
Photo Box is so easy to use. You upload your photos and as you create your product the quality of your photos is checked to ensure you make a product of the highest quality.
The website is easy to navigate, service is fast and the products are wonderful.
Photograph products to treasure.
Photo Box gave me this photo book for free in return for an honest review. They have also allowed me to create one showing Esther and William’s journey from incubator to preschool. That one is taking quite a lot longer to put together but I am going to capture screenshots of the creation process to share with you here to show you just how easy using Photo Box can be and how they produce such stunning results.
That is such a beautiful book to treasure. I have used them too and they are great. X
Awww, your Baby Tilda book looks so lovely. I’m currently in the process of making books for my children (and can see why the twins incubator to pre-school book is taking you a while), but it feels so good to be actually using my photos for something real to have in our home, rather than just storing them all on technology. x
What a lovely book for you and your family to keep and treasure. Most of my photos are held electronically as well, but you can’t beat a good old fashioned photo album can you!
A lovely book to treasure. I’m currently making a photobook with them for my parents 25th anniversary which is taking ages as many of them are scanned old images and haven’t saved chronologically because of that. Very reassuring that they do come out well, so very pleased I have seen this review now x
What a beautiful book to remember Matilda Mae by 🙂 We have just done our wedding album (2 years later!) with PhotoBox and one for our Australian travels too. What I loved best was the little red line to help make everything straight and aligned…that pleased me greatly! x
This is such a wonderful memory xxx
