Esther has been the main tester for our latest mission as part of the Big Jigs Play Patrol.
We were sent a beautiful xylophone that Esther has named our Rainbow Xylophone.
It is a wooden body with metal notes and is beautifully decorated.
The xylophone is just the right size for toddler hands.
And at £11.99 would make a lovely birthday party gift for a friend or a stocking filler for any budding musicians in your life.
Esther as she has recently proven was born to be a musician.
The Xylophone is an instrument that I used to play at primary school. A percussion instrument that produces pitch. I used to especially love playing it to accompany songs at Christmas time. It has a very festive sound.
I actually think that the Big Jigs Xylophone is technically a Glockenspiel as the keys are made from metal rather than wood? But I am not certain about that.
What I am certain about is that Esther in particular but also William really enjoy playing with this colourful toy instrument.
It provides hours of fun and has educational value too.
We have been revising our colours, exploring opposites through musical concepts such as fast and slow, high and low.
We have been singing lots of songs and practising playing an instrument in a controlled way.
We really have been having great, musical fun.
This is a beautifully made toy musical instrument and a wonderful way to encourage musical play in the home.
It can also be used to aid learning colours and to improve listening skills through directed play.
It is just jolly good fun!
Thank you Big Jigs for letting us play.
We were sent one Big Jigs Xylophone for the purpose of this review as part of our Play Patrol Mission.
I love your reviews, normally I find some a chore. X
