Saturday
The day she died
Saturday will always be the day she died
Saturday is the day that always comes too soon
I no longer look forward to the weekend
I am thinking of making a new weekend
Just for us
So we do not have to face another Saturday
But Saturday is Saturday
And they are coming thick and fast
11 Saturdays ago she died
Such a long time ago
Yet no time at all
So many Saturdays
Keeping busy
Never daring to stop
And think
And feel
And cry
Not until we are just adults
Until our beautiful children are sleeping
And safe in the land of their dreams
Then we can admit to one another
How horrific each Saturday is
How Saturday is
Ever ruined
For all time
For us
But in the sunshine hours
Through the time of daylight
We have our terrible twosome
Our troublesome tots
Our cheeky little monkeys
Our adorable toddler twins
And for them we make Saturday a good day
A busy day
We pack it full of food and fun
And celebration
And bubbles
For our tiny Baby Tiger in the sky
Saturday rests raw in my heart
But I will not let it pass without making my toddlers smile
And I know
That each week of 11 weeks
And each week ever after
Matilda will be smiling too
From her bouncy cloud
Or rainbow slide
She will be smiling too
We love you Baby Tilda
We miss you and remember you
In everything we do
In everything we learn and see
We do it for ourselves
But we do it all for you
You are our inspiration
To make the most of our days
Even the days that are Saturdays
What else is there to do?
Through our living
We honour you
We love you Tilda Mae
In everything we do
Every smile
They are all for you x
So hard to believe its been 11 weeks. Love to you

It looks like you, David and the cheeky twosome have had a fun-filled Saturday. I think of you all often everyday but especially on a Saturday. That day, 11 weeks ago that changed your life forever. Sending love and strength, as always xx
I love to see the photos of Esther and William smiling and I am glad you kept busy in the daytime. I have been thinking of you today, and especially in the quiet of another Saturday evening. So much love to you all xxxxx
I see your twins changing in these pics – looking older. Another Saturday come and nearly gone – I hope that sometime in the future you have a Saturday which brings something good, something wonderful – to help you smile despite such sad memories x
I think of you and your family often.
Love the photos!! 🙂 x x
Hi Jennie… Bless you…. 11 weeks since your darling Matilda Mae fell asleep, 11 weeks since my Toby turned one….because of this I follow your milestones each week very closely…… 11 weeks of sheer hurt & solid pain for you yet 11 weeks that you have carried yourself through this hideous journey in a dignified & selfless way, 11 weeks you have continued to put others first, 11 weeks that you have still been the most adoring mother to your beautiful children, 11 weeks of not knowing what the next day or hour holds, 11 weeks of utter despair but complete inspiration to others, 11 weeks of messy play & now it’s for Matilda Mae….! although you may feel youve stood still looking on in 11 weeks you’ve come so far…..& it’s okay to be just where you are….sending you huge hugs & so much love – Rachel x x x
So sad for you. You are a brave mummy and an inspirational mummy. May Matilda Mae’s spirit live on in all the inspiration you give to others. Even though I have never met you, I cuddle my kids a little longer at night and think of you often especially on a Saturday night. x
Oh honey I can’t believe it’s been 11 weeks! I think to make Saturday a fun day is a lovely thing for you all and I am sure Matilda is enjoying it with you all too. Hey lovely. I’ve nominated you for the Super Sweet Blogger Award because frankly you are a Super Sweet Blogger with a strong heart and I admire your strength. Matilda would be so proud. xxx http://amummysview.com/2013/04/21/super-sweet-blogger-award/
I am thinking of you often. I wish there was something I could do, other than keeping you in my thoughts and in my prayers. Dxx
There are no words but you are in our thoughts, hearts and prayers. Love to you all x
