A new year, a new term of classes to look forward to.
So this month Esther and William are two and a half. There is so much that I want for them between now and their third birthday in July.
We as a family unit thrive on routine. Esther and William are bright little things and if they are not suitably stimulated then they very quickly get up to mischief.
I want to do all I can to stop them becoming too mischievious!
This is our plan for the next few weeks.
On Mondays we go to Fun Train in the mornings and I am hoping that we will be able to start gymnastics, Kinder Gym. Fun Train is all about music and singing. Esther and William have been going for over a year now and they love it. Gymnastics is something that I loved as a child and I have a feeling that Esther could be really rather good at. The club insists on one adult to one child for health and safety so am hoping that I can find a willing volunteer to help us. In the meantime we will be going to Pre School Bounce in Tonbridge which is a drop in session with trampolines, climbing frames, a ball pond(!) and other soft play toys. I think Matilda is about ready to enjoy that too!
On Tuesday Esther and William go to preschool for the morning and in the afternoons they are going to be having trampolining lessons. How good is that? We have been sent a trampoline to review and before we let them loose in the garden we thought it would be a good idea for them to attend a class to learn how to bounce correctly and safely. I think that we are all going to have so much fun!!
On Wednesday we go to Jumping Beans where Esther and William take part in the toddler class and then Matilda does the baby class that follows. It is really well run and my wonderful aunty comes with us and makes the whole arrangement possible. I am hoping that on Wednesday afternoons we will be able to get outside on scooters and trikes with help from my uncle and aunty. Even if it is only in the garden.
On Thursdays Esther and William are at preschool again and I am going to take Matilda swimming. Often on a preschool morning I just feel like hiding at home but I am determined that it is time to start getting out and about a bit more. Swimming is something that I love and that I was unable to do with Esther and William. I want to at least try it with Matilda Mae. On Thursday afternoons we go to a lovely church toddler group. We have not been for a while due to transitioning from daytime sleep to no daytime sleep but I think we are ready to start going weekly again.
On Fridays we go to Twins Club most weeks but I also want to try Tumble Time at our local leisure centre. Esther and William are very physical, always on the go. They enjoy active movement and I think this could be fantastic for them. Can’t wait to give it a go!
At the weekends we cherish our time with Daddy. This year we are going to go swimming regularly and I also want us to spend lots of time outdoors and visiting new places.
However, visiting is not Daddy’s favourite thing to do so I hope that I can find the confidence and equipment I need for the three of us to do some midweek excursions on our own. I may have to concede to needing that triple buggy after all?!?
So this is how our term ahead looks. How about you? What things do you do that you love each week?
Jennie I am now ready to look into some classes for chloe and I and now that she is much bigger and stronger and has had her first cold I think we are ok to do things. I need some structure in my week and I need to meet people as obviously i didn’t get to do ante natal classes . But where do you find all those amazing activities? I have no idea where to start. X x x
