One of the things I absolutely love about blogging is the people that you get to meet, the friends you make and the wonderful stories that you share. I also love supporting new and smaller independent companies.
My husband built his business from scratch and I know how tough it can be.
I also know that behind every business is a story and the Bubby Wrap story is one that is fitting for Edspire as I work hard to raise awareness of premature babies, those that live and those that are not so lucky. As I try to help Bliss and Tommy’s in their work to try and make prematurity a whole lot rarer than it is now.
Bubby Wrap is a company that makes beautiful handmade baby, toddler and children’s clothes. They really are suite stunning and for the quality of the work and fabrics, and the love and care with which they are made they really are very good quality for money.
Bee and Emma started Bubby Wrap in June 2011 after the birth of Emma’s little girl, Bubby! Bubby was a much longed for baby and her parents had been on a very long journey to finally meet her.
Bubby was a special little girl that needed special clothing and her mummy, Emma, struggled to find anything just right. Struggled to find anything really nice that everybody else was not also wearing. Emma spoke to Bee saying that she was sure she could make clothes for Bubby and so she did!
After creating beautiful clothes for her own daughter, Emma with Bee tried selling a few items and now they have a very busy business run through their Facebook page. Bubby Wrap was born!
You can find out more information about Bubby Wrap here.
When Bubby Wrap contacted me and asked me if I would like to review some of their clothes for them I was only too happy to oblige. Who would not want adorable handmade clothing for their children. Clothing that can be designed to tell a story about them.
I asked Emma if we could design the clothes for my three children to be complementary and using the theme of owls. This is because we love the story of Owl Babies and we change the names in the book so instead of the baby owls being called Sarah, Percy and Bill. In our house they are called Esther, William and Matilda. It works really well and they love it. Also, our village name means Valley of the Owls so it is nice to have some clothing that fits with the name. We had a professional photo shoot planned and so I knew that the clothes would just be perfect for that. And I have to say that they were. The professional photos will be coming to the blog very soon.
Bubby Wrap made Esther an applique pinafore dress and William some matching cord dungarees. For us to order the clothes we had to measure the children. This was a fun activity and ensured that the clothed from Bubby Wrap really were a perfect fit.
We have had so many compliments when wearing these outfits out and about. Esther and William especially love wearing theirs. Matilda Mae is not so keen as she has a romper suit without poppers or buttons between the legs meaning that each nappy change involves a full undress. She is not a fan of dressing and undressing at the best of times! But that would be my only hesitation when buying from Bubby Wrap again, I would definitely go for dresses for baby girls or ask if it would be possible for easy opening between the legs?
Ordering from Bubby Wrap could not be simpler the only time consuming part is choosing your designs. They have a range of lovely lovely styles for boys and girls and they have a vast range of rich and vibrant fabrics. I would quite like some clothes made from some of them for myself.

We put an awful lot of care attention into every garment we make, we want the first time a customer speaks to us to be different from the normal shopping experience they may have had! We spend lots of time trying to ascertain what our customer wants we feel it’s really important that they come away feeling they have had as much input into their child’s outfit as they wanted to have! We are more than happy to spend as much time as they need finding and creating the perfect outfit for their Bubby. Once we know what someone is having and the size we then need to put it together! The things that take the time are finding the right buttons, our applique’s, the right fabric to use as facings, making sure it’s made to the measurements that we’ve been given. We then iron and photograph every item and finally we gift wrap each of our items with tissue paper and ribbon before finally putting them in our little red envelope and taking them to the Post Office.
As well as looking stunning, Bubby Wrap clothes are made to last. I have washed all of the items several times now and they wash and air dry beautifully. They have not lost any colour or shape. They honestly look as good as new.
I loved Bubby Wrap clothes from browsing their many pictures on Facebook and I was not at all disappointed when our order arrived. Between browsing and ordering we exchanged many emails and Emma and Bee were only too happy to help or answer questions and address concerns. The customer service and kindness has been above and beyond expectation. I am only too happy to recommend them as a business and for the loveliness of their clothes.
We are most definitely satisfied and happy customers over here!

We were given one pinafore and one pair of dungarees for the purposes of this review. We paid for Matilda’s romper suit and were more than happy with the quality, comfort and design.
We love Bubbywrap and Gemma has a few dresses and dungarees and a lovely jumpsuit. The service is fantastic and the quality is faultless.
Gemma is now wearing a reversible dress that I bought my niece over a year ago that was worn by her a lot,it is like new and nobody would know it was second hand. They wash well,Gemma has really tested them with sick and poo 😉 I am sure the dresses will go back to my sister for her youngest to wear so they really have been worth the money.
I can’t recommend Bubbywrap enough!
Great review and gorgeous models 🙂
