One week today and Matilda Mae will be 6 months old. I am in a state of shock that my delicious little newborn is now sitting up on her own and chewing everything in sight. Yes my little bundle of loveliness has become a dribbling teething monster!
We have been trying different methods of soaking up the dribble and drool before it reaches her clothes and leaves a chill on her chest and have been very impressed with the range of products available. For dressy occasions we love the Mama Designs Snoodie but for everyday practicality and fun funky designs we have not found better than Funky Giraffe, recommended to me by so many of my friends, I was delighted when we were sent some of the popular bandana bibs to review.
Funky Giraffe bibs are designed with comfort and style in mind as well as their primary purpose of protecting babies’ skin and clothes from excess drool and dribble. The top cotton layer comes in a range of bright colours and fun designs. The underneath fleece layer is soft against baby’s skin and it seems is able to stand up to any amount of dribble baby would like to send it’s way. Matilda is a super dribbler. I have never seen a baby quite like it and she tends to go through two bibs on a really dribbly day but only because the front of the bib is soaking, the fleece under layer in our experience has never soaked through.
The bibs that we were sent fit Matilda really well. They are not too tight around her neck and they compliment her clothes rather than cover them up. The material is thin so Matilda did not get too hot and could wear them comfortably all day. I wear Matilda a lot of the time and often end up with my own clothes soaked with dribble, however with her Funky Giraffe bib on I could position the bib between her mouth and my tshirt as a barrier to protect my clothes. A fabulous extra perk of these pretty baby accessories!
Because the bibs are such great value for money. You can currently get 5 bibs for £11 online then I can afford for Matilda to wear one or two of them every day. And their are some beautiful designs. Lovely bright patterns and very pretty florals. There are also some super cute bibs ready for Halloween and Christmas. I cannot wait to get Matilda some more.
Funky Giraffe Bibs also come in toddler sizes and so I am also going to get some for William and Esther who are too old now to wear baby bibs but still get messy when eating and I think that Funky Giraffe have provided the alternative that we need. A bib that will mop or soak up spills but that toddlers will still love to wear. And again, at prices you can afford to get ones to match every outfit!
I have loved testing these bibs with Matilda Mae and I am excited to have found such a fun funky product that really works and also brightens up our day. Thank you Funky Giraffe!
You can check out Funky Giraffe Bibs and Babywear for yourself on their website, Facebook page or by following them on Twitter.
And should you be attending The Baby Show this weekend then do check out their stand B18 where you will be able to buy 10 bibs for a bargain £10. That is a £1 a bib. I know that I will be stopping by.
We were sent four bibs for the purpose of this review.
Wow, these are a really great price for Bandana bibs, maybe I should stock them on my site !
