For the last few weeks Esther and William have been testing the Mighty Grip Utensil Set from Munchkin.
The set consists of a knife, fork and spoon with textured rubber handles (BPA free) that are easy for toddler hands to grip and manoever.
The rounded knife and fork make these utensils age appropriate, safe and easy-to-use.
We have used the knives for spreading butter and jam.
Esther and William are just starting to get curious about preparing food and have a lot of wooden play food with wooden knives. These Mighty Grip knives can extend that play and learning to real foods such as spreads and chopping soft fruit.
I am confident that with these Munchkin utensils their little fingers would be safe.
The spoons are great for breakfast time as cereal is tricky to get and keep on the spoon. We have also found the spoons to be useful tools for jelly. Jelly is so hard to eat! Because the spoon is metal it slices through jelly beautifully but is also deep enough to keep hold of a good mouthful of Cheerios. It is just what you need from a spoon!
Esther and William use the forks to poke, prod and scoop up their dinners from fish fingers to ‘sketty’ to ‘macca cheese’ and beans. The rounded shape makes the fork quite spoon like for good scooping!
The Mighty Grip Utensil Set is proving to be a mighty fine hit in our house and we use them now with every meal.
And any tasty treats!!
Using this set will help Esther and William make the transition to a normal, human cutlery set.
The set is great value for money retailing at just £3.49 on Amazon.
We were sent two Mighty Grip Utensil Sets for the purpose of this review.
