Back in June I attended Brit Mums Live 2012 and I was absolutely honoured to be given a Zoe dress in Stargaze from Babes with Babies to wear for the first day of the event. The dress was a beautiful jersey one that can be dressed up or down for any occasion. For this occasion I dressed down with birkenstocks and my absolutely favourite cardigan, my Mango sunflowers.
This is a hint of me wearing the dress…
…and this is what it is supposed to look like!
The colour of the Zoe dress is stunning and together with the cut and the material, the dress disguised my post natal lumps and bumps well. I enjoyed wearing the dress and I felt comfortable. I wore a Carriwell Nursing Bra beneath the dress and you could see it where the v neck of the dress was so low but for a daytime event I felt that this was appropriate and I like the way it looked, especially as the cardigan was white as were my shoes. If I were to wear the dress for an evening do then I would wear different underwear that could not be seen. This dress is very flattering and most importantly it is easy to feed in.
To feed in it you lift from under the breast to allow baby access, to be honest I found it just as easy if not easier to pull down the top of the dress, so you have two options for feeding I think, depending on how discreet you want to be.
The dress is available from Babes with Babies website and costs £89.00. But if you buy two dresses at the same time then you can get a discount of £20!
Buy any two dresses at the same time and save £20. Simply add FF678 at checkout and press update. Voilá, a beautiful bargain.
This is a beautiful dress and I was very proud to wear it to Brit Mums Live. I felt very confident in it last weekend at Esther and William’s birthday tea and I know that I will be wearing it time and time again through breastfeeding and beyond as it washes so well.
I love shopping with Babes with Babies. As a busy mummy of three I do not get out to the shops very much and so quality online shopping is important for me. Babes with Babies have a fabulous website that is informative and easy to use.
Each item they sell has a description and style notes which are really helpful. You can also talk to their team, as I did, and they will advise you on other pieces you might like and other items you could buy that would complement the garments you have already chosen.
The website is easy to navigate and the images of products are high quality and there are lots of them. It makes the shopping a pleasure to do. I feel quite pampered after a few minutes window shopping and making my ‘If money were no object’ lists.
Babes with Babies stock quality clothing that is quite expensive, certainly more than I would ordinarily spend, but with this dress I have found that in a matter of weeks I have already worn it at least 3 times and I could have worn it many more. It washes well and can be accessorised in so many different ways. I think that the dress is definitely worth the money and here are a few other items that I think could be worth a splurge!
Magic Maxi in Berry currently on sale for £75. The perfect dress for any occasion and will work for summer, autumn and into winter too. Such a gorgeous colour and flattering style. It also allows new mummies to feed discreetly.
Mariposa Nursing Top is available in a range of great colours and looks great worn with skinny jeans and pumps. A top for all seasons that can be dressed up or down. LOVE this!!!
A wrap cardi is an essential for pregnant and nursing mums. It fits in all trimesters, flatters every shape and size and also acts as a breastfeding cover. The waterfall cardigan from Babes with Babies is a stunner!
If you are a nursing mummy or a mummy to be then I highly recommend having a look at Babes with Babies when you are shopping for clothes, particularly if you are looking for something for a special occasion. And right now you might pick up a real bargain!
I was given one Zoe Dress free of charge for the purposes of this review.
