Hoppy and her new best friend

Matilda Mae is now 12 weeks old. She is at an age of grabbing, grasping and chewing. She likes something that she can hold on to. Preferably something soft and squidgy that she can fit into her mouth. Imagine her delight then when I introduced my youngest daughter to her new best friend from Safe Dreams, Hoppy.

Hoppy and Me

Hoppy is one of two newborn toys from Safe Dreams. Hoppy and Patch have been designed with safety in mind. These are toys that you can breathe through no matter how much you snuggle or chew them. To begin with I was a little unsure of Hoppy.

She looks quite clinical in white and pale green but Matilda loves her and she now comes with us wherever we go. Most importantly though she is able to stay with Matilda at night and not just watch over her like some of her other toys do but snuggle up close and tight.

Hoppy and Patch are

made from specially designed 3D Airmesh which has an outer surface of 100% cotton
– stuffed with Hollowfibre, a hypoallergenic filling which has air pumped into each fibre during the spinning process
– suitable from birth
– machine washable and suitable for tumble drying.

Reading Time with Hoppy

Esther and William have taken quite a shine to Hoppy too and because she is machine washable and can be tumble dried then I have no qualms about letting them play with her, even when snotty or with a bug because I know that Hoppy can be washed and dried and ready for baby’s bed time.

This is a toy that truly does offer mummies peace of mind. Easy to clean and safe to snuggle from birth. Just the right size for tiny hands to hold and floppy ears for tiny mouths to chew. A perfect playmate for baby.

And my initial reservations about the appearance of Hoppy are totally gone as Matilda Mae adores her. She gurgles and coos at her whenever she is there. She stares at her too when she is under her baby gym. And Hoppy is softer than she looks making her perfect for cuddles and tender gums!

Hoppy is safe for sleep. She allows the baby to breathe. Hoppy is clean and can be washed and dried and back to bed within hours. She seems to appeal to the mind of a newborn and holds their attention and with my Matilda Mae even makes her smile.
