Now We Are Two (almost)

In eight days my beautiful 27 weekers will be two years old. It is so hard to comprehend how much they have grown and changed, how much they have learned.

Esther and William on their First Birthday

I am a very proud mummy to three gorgeous children but this post is especially for Esther and William.

Esther and William are a delight to be around. They talk so much! They love to sing and dance and make music. They are very expressive and affectionate children. They are sociable and love meeting new people. They are quite independent and are happy to join in activities without me always being there. They love their food especially cake! Everyday begins with a story and almost always ends with a song. Breakfast is Shreddies and Cheerios. At lunch there is always a snack bowl. We play outside at least once a day and they love nothing more than their water table. Oh, and putting leaves in the bin. William loves transport of all kinds and they both love a bus and a train. We always have music when in the car and they always have bath time with Dada. They love to kiss and cuddle each other but have not mastered holding hands. They love to walk to the park but almost always need carrying home. They love Brown Bear, Baby Bear, Polar and Panda – the books by Bill Martin and Eric Carle. They can recite Giraffes Can’t Dance and are beginning to count up to 5. They know one word for each of the letters of the alphabet and remind Mummy of the order when she gets stuck. They love climbing and running. They are busy learning colours but their default guess is always blue.

Oh Esther and William, you clever pair! How much I love, love, love you!

Last week I saw a beautiful post by The Boy and Me showing a picture she had made of The Boy showing his likes at the age of three.

I used this as inspiration for my own picture of Esther and William in celebration of their second birthday.

It shows not only what they like but also some of the funny things that they say. It probably will not mean anything to anyone but us but in a way that is the wonder of it.

Here are Esther and William, aged (almost!) two.

Now We Are Two (Almost)

I have now realised that this style of portrait was started by Lauren at The Real Housewife of Suffolk where there is a linky if you want to make a magical momento too. I created mine using PicMonkey it was quick and easy to do and I have created a picture that I will treasure forever, and I hope that Esther and William will too.
