Every once in a while a random act of kindness makes my day.
When Matilda Mae was first born and we were struggling to get acquainted; when we were finding our feet as a new family of five; I turned to Twitter for advice and support. Lots of people were friendly and helped me to settle in to being a mummy of three.
One person who really made a difference in those earliest days was the Mummy of Doodle and Boo.
When I was worried about Matilda’s very dry skin she offered to send me some oil to try and soothe her. The oil, Bloom and Blossom Mother and Baby Oil, is gorgeous!
Bloom and Blossom Mother and Baby Oil is an exquisite treat, perfect for massaging into both mother and new born baby skin. Pure indulgence makes this the ultimate in pampering baby shower gifts.
How it Works: The blend of natural plant oils helps to seal in moisture, leaving skin soft and smooth.
Directions for Use: Use it after bathing for hydration and protection. For general massage use, pour a small amount of oil between your warm hands, lightly rub together and apply in gentle strokes to you and your baby’s skin. To treat specific areas of dry skin, apply a small amount of oil to the affected area and leave to absorb.
Featured Ingredient: Just 5 carefully selected ingredients make this blend of natural plant oils, which include camomile flower oil to soothe and lavender oil to calm.
The oil is lightly scented leaving just a gentle hint behind after use. I use it after Matilda’s bath on her dry patches and also now for some simple massage. She loves it and so do I. It is a very special bonding time that we both enjoy.
Doodle Boo Mummy was very generous and also sent Esther and William a present too. This was the random act of kindness that really warmed my heart and made me smile. She sent them what are now fondly known in our house as the ‘Tomiliboo Bricks!’
The ‘Tomiliboo Bricks’ are actually Miller Goodman’s Shapemaker!
Miller Goodman’s ShapeMaker is an uber-stylish award winning creative blocks toy. The boxed set consist of 25 environmentally friendly hardwood cubes, beautifully hand-printed and crafted with geometric designs on each face. The brightly coloured blocks can be excitingly arranged into an array of creatures and creative images. Miller Goodman’s commitment to combine function with the highest design principles provides endless design opportunities for children and adults of all ages, especially Dads! Perhaps one of the best keepsake Christening presents available.
It has become one of our favourite toys and is loved by Daddy and Grandad as much as Esther and William.
Doodle Boo is a baby gift website that stocks some truly beautiful present ideas. I have my eye on a Frank and Fischer Lea Monkey for Matilda.
Love this sleepsuit too!
