Today Esther, William and I did some hand print painting. It was great fun inspired by two kits we were sent to review from Little Creative Days.
To get us started we had the Hand Painting on Canvas Kit and the Hand Painting Coaster Kit.
Esther and William were very keen to explore the bags and once they realised that there was paint inside they were raring to go!
Not a natural artist I was very pleased to find a detailed ideas and instruction sheet inside the brown paper bag together with all the materials we would need to create our masterpieces.
The instruction and ideas sheet takes you step by step through the activity and also explains what skills you will be developing with your children by completing the activity.
With these hand painting crafts we were working on our hand eye coordination, colour recognition and general creative skills. For Esther and William we also revised different body parts before deciding to use our hands.
The instructions advise having a practice or play before attempting the actual task and so this is what we did. Esther and William had lots of fun and got really messy. It was great!
Esther and William loved this activity. They loved seeing their hands printed on to the paper. It was a lovely way to spend some time all together. I have some paint left over so we are going to do a print of Matilda’s hand too.
Little Creative Days make activities like this easy for even the least artistic parent (me!) to do with their children. As they come neatly packaged in a paper bag they could even be taken to do with Granny. We did wear overalls and sit in highchairs but apart from on hands and paper we did not really make too much mess.
Little Creative Days has a whole range of activities available on their website for children of all ages.
Some of the kits, like this one, are great for making homemade gifts for parents, grandparents or even teachers as we approach the end of term.
There are lovely ideas on the website for occasions such as the Jubilee and Fathers’ Day. A great selection for all ages, abilities and occasions.
The company offers exceptional customer service and love to see what you have created with their products. Their website has a gallery page especially for this.
The kits are really reasonably priced too considering that you get everything you need and very detailed instructions. It is clear that someone with children of their own has taken the time to put these kits together.
I know that we will definitely be back for more!
If you would like to make a coaster or canvas with your little one then you are in luck as Little Creative Days are giving one Edspire reader the chance to win either a coaster or canvas kit.
All you have to do is leave a comment below saying which of the kits you would like to win. Simple!
The competition will close on Wednesday 11th July at 7pm. UK Entrants only please.
Good Luck!
We received a coaster kit and a canvas kit to test for the purpose of this review.
