The Baby Show First Thoughts

Today I have had a wonderful but exhausting day as a VIP Blogger at The Baby Show at London Excel.

I left my house at 7.30am and got home again at 6.30pm. I am so so tired but feel that I have learned a lot and met some lovely people, bloggers, PR peeps, exhibitors and lovely kind people who helped me on the train. Guess there is no hiding the fact that I am pregnant now that I am 30 weeks! 30 weeks!!!

I arrived at the show as it opened and had a look at some of the key features for Mummies visiting the show.

The Fisher Price creche
looks amazing and I think that Esther and William would have loved to spend some time in there. You can book slots of up to two hours for your little one to give you time to browse the show.

Bright, colourful and clean

Perfect Place to Play

Tommee Tippee had set up a great baby feeding area where you can breastfeed in private or heat bottles and baby food. There was a range of Plum baby food on offer as well as Tommee Tippee feeding accessories.

Food Glorious Food

There was also a large baby change area with free wipes and nappies. The organisers of the show really have thought of it all.

The stage looked impressive and had a range of speakers on throughout the day addressing a wide range of parent and baby related topics.

Centre Stage

A great place to have a rest and learn something too.

There is so much to see and do at the show and some great competitions and offers.

One of the first things that I did was enter the Mamas and Papas two hourly comp to win a fabulous Mylo pushchair worth £500. I was given an indepth demo of the buggy and it is wonderful and so easy to use. For entering the giveaway I was treated to a booklet of discounts and offers. Well worth having a go!

Money Off!

Sadly for little Matilda Bump I did not win her a Mylo but I did win a pram curtain from the team at Mums and Me who are hosting hourly giveaways not to be missed.

Hourly Chances to Win!

I had a lovely chat with Baby Calm and she tried very hard to help me with my sling or carrier dilemma and despite her time and considered advice I am still no closer to making a decision. I am quite keen to try out the Toddler Calm classes though and am excited to discover that there are some running quite close to me.

I also met the lovely ladies at Mama Scarf who were incredibly helpful and I bought a lovely scarf for breastfeeding Matilda when she comes. Mama Scarf were also launching a new product at the show, The BabaSac, a sleeping bag that can be adapted for summer or winter use.

I bought some great flashcards for Esther and William from Brainy Baby and could not resist buying them each a Splasha from Morrck! I have had my eye on them for ages.

I also bought some gorgeous clothes for the twins froms Scandinavian clothing company Me&I. They are bright, colourful, practical play clothes that are good quality and I am certain will last for years.

Beautiful Practical Kids Clothing

At The Gro Company stand I bought two swaddle blankets for Matilda. They come in such beautful prints for girls and boys as do their sleeping bags which I already use for Esther and William.

On my list from the start were a BundleBean blanket and a Snoozeshade carseat cover for Matilda May. They are now here, ready and waiting for her arrival in May. It was great to see the Buggy Accessories stand so busy and they have a fantastic 25% off all purchases made at the show so certainly a stand not to be missed.

Busy Busy Buggy Accessories Stall

I had a photograph taken which I am rather proud of of my bump with Bumpkins photographers. The photo was taken and the print given for free as part of their show promotion. They are also doing baby photos too so if you wanted a cute pic of your little one then do pop along to see them at the show.

Beautiful Bump

There is so much to see and do at the show.

I enjoyed a spot of pampering at the Superdrug Beauty bar where they did an expert job of threading my eyebrows. A first for me and my eyebrows do look good I have to say and it did not hurt at all.

I have so much more to say about The Baby Show and people and products that I want to mention but for timight I just want to say if you are thinking of visiting the show this weekend then please please do as I am certain that you will not be disappointed.

A great show for mummies and mummies to be packed to the rafters with ideas, innovations, offers, discounts, advice and giveaways.

A super event!

    • There is so much out there if you have endless money. I had to be quite stern with myself but I did buy some lovely things and some things that I think/hope will be practical when little one comes. 10 weeks today to go!
