The Snowman: A Perfect Family Moment
Snow is fun for little hands
To dig and sculpt and mould
But when you have really tiny hands
It is not long til their too cold
There is time enough for a fun sledge ride
A walk with Mum and Dad
But not enough time for a snowman
Which left us rather sad
But we should never have been worried
Daddy never lets us down
He wore Mummy’s gloves and off he went
To make smiles from our frowns
We stood at the window
And watched him through the glass
He was smiling, grinning, laughing
He was working hard and fast
But what was it he was making
For our little eyes to see?
A snow friend of our very own
To fill our hearts with glee
Daddy made a snowman
While we both stood and stared
He always does these funny things
To show us that he cares
Daddy likes to make us things
He likes to make us smile
And this is one precious memory
We will keep for a long while
And Mummy’s taken photos
So we can treasure them for always
What a hero our lovely Daddy was
On one of our first ever snow days.

Fantastic- a poem!
XxX
What gorgeous imagery. We didn’t have snow this year, in previous years we’ve had lots and Seren has come to love it- when she was 1 she loved it- but the sense of coldness distresed her, she learnt to keep her gloves on and loved it the following year! x
