Today I waited all day for snow so that I could take a beautiful picture of Esther and William in the white stuff. However, it has only just started snowing here and so with the Squidgers fast asleep the opportunity has passed us by.
And so I offer you my dinner instead!
Today for The Boy and Me’s Show Off Show Case I reposted an old Bump Watch post about my pregnancy diet. It got me thinking about food and eating healthily as I head towards the third trimester of this pregnancy.
Tonight for dinner I made seafood spaghetti. I know that many women stay away from shellfish and seafood during pregnancy but as long as I have cooked it myself then I am happy to eat it. I did throughout my pregnancy with Esther and William and it has not seemed to do them any harm.
The seafood spaghetti dish is filled with mussels, squid and king prawns with spinach, sugar snap peas, fresh chillies, Portabello mushrooms, tomatoes and orange pepper. The sauce is Spring Onion and Black Pepper Philadelphia. Yum Yum!
I always use organic wholewheat spaghetti too and a splash of garlic olive oil too!
I think this is a healthy pregnancy dinner. Would you agree?
Followed of course by a cocoa dessert!!
Very colourful and healthy! I’m more interested that M&S are doing salted caramel chocolate; I am so there on Monday morning!
It is so scrummy! Much nicer than the chilli chocolate or the spaghetti for that matter x x x
Love the vibrancy of the colours in these shots.
Thanks for linking up to #Project366
Looks like my sort of meal. I think I ate seafood in pregnancy, but only when i had cooked it.
That looks very well balanced to me: veg, dairy, carbs and chocolate. All the food groups represented 😉
Very healthy, followed by very delicious – perfect combination! 🙂
