Nameless Nephew Newsome has a name! He has two names in fact!

His name is Toby Philip Newsome.

Toby is a stand alone name or is often a shortened version of Tobias which means ‘Little Toby’.

One of my favourite children’s authors Mick Inkpen wrote a book called ‘Nothing’ about a cloth cat called Little Toby. I have added this to the list of presents I am buying for my newest nephew (I am an Aunty in Law to three gorgeous boys already).

Toby’s middle name is Philip, chosen because of family connections on the Newsome side but also I think because Julie likes the meaning. It is a name of Greek origin and means ‘one who loves horses’ which fits my animal loving sister’s child just so.
