When sorting through my wallet I found our annual tickets for Leeds Castle. They have expired. It has been over a year since that birthday when we took Esther and William out for one of their very first outings.
This time last year we were under lock and key, protecting Esther and William from RSV and other infections, but we did get outside as much as we could. It was good to feel fresh autumn air in our lungs.
Esther and William were tiny, still weighing less than 5lbs each. We had only had them home for one week on the day of my birthday in 2010.
We wrapped them up in lots of layers and went for a wonderful walk.
I remember feeling so proud pushing that pram for all to see.
Our beautiful baby twins were finally home with us.
We could take them out for all the world to see and for them to, at last, begin to explore their world.
Look at how beautiful our babies were as they bravely went out in the world.
