A guest review from my gorgeous friend Millie and her beautiful son Evan.
So we took delivery of a very important parcel on another wet and rainy August morning, what happened to summer this year?
Evan squealed with delight as we opened the package and I squealed when I realised what was inside, the Leap Frog Learn and Groove Learning Table. Geared for ages six months and above, it’s packed with activities to stimulate and entertain. At 11 months and still not moving, this learning table will help even the most frustrated of babies. It comes with four detachable legs, enabling it to be used as a free-standing play table or be placed on a table or the floor. This is brilliant for our little man as he isn’t yet able to pull himself up. It has two volume settings and shuts off automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity. The big buttons and flashing lights are attractive to tiny little hands – Evan loves to play the piano and twist the spinner on containing little balls that make a rain sound.
It has two modes that can be used in two languages – English and French. The learn mode introduces colours, shapes, and numbers – the music mode offers a number of tunes including Row Row your boat, London Bridge and Frère Jacques each mode activated by the turning of the page on the book, which is in the center of the table. Evan loves to read and loves to turn pages, so this is flipped over and over again … flipping between the learn mode and music mode. You’d think this would be annoying but honestly, it’s bearable because the voice is a lovely lady singing and sounds very life like. The sounds are real and not cheap and electronic, so the music is nice not annoying as some other brand toys.
We call this toy “The Big Guns” in our house, it’s so special that we try not to use it as an everyday toy because we don’t want Evan to get bored of it; he adores it and can play with it for up to an hour, flipping the page and switching between the two modes. We really don’t want him to get bored of it, so it’s kept for those difficult times in the day when he needs stimulation. The toy is great to share with friends and often is fought over by Evan and his best friend Joe.
This is a great toy and one that will get a lot of mileage in this house.
We highly recommend it and know that it will be a toy that will grow with Evan. Thank you to Esther and William for sharing this toy with us – you’re the best!
Our twin toyologists love this table too, watch out for their review coming very soon.
If this is something you would like to buy for your own little learner it is available from Toys R Us for £34.99
