This summer Esther and William celebrated their first birthday and part of their celebrations involved a birthday tea with their cousins.

It was a lovely afternoon with presents, play and of course, tea.

All with the theme of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

The party tea was made up of fruit and foods from the book.

There were cakes baked by cousins and Granny too!

We were also lucky enough to have been sent a selection of bibs that matched the theme from Beauty and the Bib.

I must apologise to the team at Beauty and the Bib for the delay in this review, with birthdays, weddings and honeymoons my blogging has fallen somewhat behind.

But here it is, better late I hope than never.

Beauty and the Bib provided bibs for children aged 6 months to 5 years. They were in the shapes of strawberries, ice cream cones, apples and cupcakes. The children, of all ages, loved them and were keen to wear them. Even the five year old, though we did refer to them as costumes rather than bibs. The cotton towelling material was soft and gentle for little ones to wear, absorbent enough to soak up juices from the fruits and tough enough to withstand the stickiest chocolate Rice Krispies!

The bibs are in bright colours and great designs. They are soft towelling fabric and so gentle to wear around the tiniest of necks.

They are great for wiping faces on at the end of a meal too. I have reviewed bibs from Beauty and the Bib before (twice!) and have always been impressed with the quality of the bibs, their design and their practicality.

Beauty and the Bib bibs are great present ideas for individual children or for parties such as ours they can be taken home by guests instead of party bags. Each bib comes beautifully presented in an organza gift bag, perfect for taking home and much more useful for one year olds. They can be used time and time again once they are at home. If you really want to make your party guests feel special you can have their name embroidered on to their bib. What a great party souvenir that would be! Or a brilliant birthday present for the birthday boy or girl?
