Esther and William are now a year old approaching a corrected age of 10 months. The age when apparently they should become attached to certain toys. I was very pleased then to unpack from our latest Toys R Us box a Hasbro Baby Alive Luv n Snuggle doll that would be a perfect present for Esther.

Baby Alive Luv n Snuggle

This is a little doll with a soft body and a very hard plastic face. The doll is suitable for babies from 6 months and as well as being a doll also serves as a rattle and a teething toy. I have to say though that for Esther anything she can find currently serves as a teething toy. Bless!

The Luv n Snuggle doll has a lovely cuddly body but her face is very hard. I think this is a shame as she canot really be tucked up in bed with Esther as her face makes it like going to bed with a plastic block. Not very comfortable to roll onto!

Hard Faced

The doll’s soft body rattles when you move her and she has one crinkly foot that makes a satisfying noise when you grab her and carry her round by her foot! She has soft textured hair tied into mouth sized bunches, perfect for sucking and chewing.

The Baby Alive doll is very pretty and can be moved like a puppet as she has finger holes in her arms to help her wave and clap her hands. This is good for encouraging babies to wave and clap back. Esther loves clapping and waving at the moment so this has been a good feature for her.

Rattle Rattle!

The Baby Alive Luv n Snuggle doll is simple and small. It is a good first doll to be chewed and dragged around the garden but so far Esther has shown no signs of becoming particularly attached to this toy and I do wonder if it is to do with the hardness of her face?
