Until last week Esther and William had only ever drunk breast milk and water. They love water and drink enthusiastically from their sippy cups whenever they have a meal or a snack.
Last week Esther and William tried some formula milk from a cup which they were not too keen on and Peter Rabbit Organics’ Juices which they loved!
This week they have also discovered prune juice but this is not given for their enjoyment but to help them a little along their way!!!
The Peter Rabbit Organics’ Fruit Juice was purely for enjoyment and enjoy it they did.
I gave them each half of a 150ml carton in their sippy cup and they gulped it down. So far we have tried the pear juice and the apple and grape. We have one more flavour, apple and blackcurrant, to try with their cousins at their first birthday party next month. This month! Just 20 days to go!!
I have been very hesitant about giving the babies juice as I really want them to drink and enjoy water. The Peter Rabbit juices are a healthy, organic and gentle way to introduce a young baby to drinks other than milk and water.
Peter Rabbit Organics’ Juices are already diluted down so they are kind on toddlers’ tummies and teeth. They are made from a gentle blend of organic juice and water with no added sugar, preservatives or artificial ingredients. They are wheat, gluten and dairy free and are made in a nut-free factory. For a Mummy unsure about juice for her babies this seemed a good, safe way to start. They even have added vitamin c to ensure that they are a healthy choice. The organic fruit juices come in individual cartons with straws and so are great for when you are out and about, if your little one can use a straw! At 11 months we are not quite there yet so poured our juice into a sippy cup. I would be happy to do this at home or out and about, though I do not see that Esther and William will be having juice that much as I really do want them to drink water and have juice as an occasional treat.
When they are treated however I think that we will use these flavoursome but mild juices from peter Rabbit. The colourful mini cartons are attractive to babies and the juice has a hint of flavour which is all such young babies need.
I did try the juices myself and feel that they do give enough flavour to be different from plain water. They are a gentle, organic treat for young babies who are starting to explore the world of fruits and juices.
If you would like to try them for yourself, and your little ones, you can find the Peter Rabbit Organics’ Juices in the baby aisles at Sainsburys, Waitrose, Asda, Booths, Whole Foods and Ocado.
The RRP is 55p each which I don’t think is too bad for a fresh, fruity treat.
