This book!
This glorious book
As bright and colourful as a perfect spring day
This is always a wonderful read at this time of year
We are all excited that spring has sprung and we are all so excited for seeing our friends and family at Easter time
Hooray for Hoppy is about a little rabbit who is impatiently waiting for spring
Every morning he peeks out to see if this day is the day
The opening of this book reminds me so much of Edie
Her birthday is at the beginning of May and every morning the first thing she asks at the moment is
“Is it my birthday today?”
The excitement levels when the answer is finally yes will be much like Hoppy when he realises that it finally is the day
The day that spring arrives!
He hops around to see if it is really true
The birds are singing
There are pretty scented flowers everywhere
There are lambs in the meadow and the fresh sweet green grass
The sun is shining and the ground is warm
It must be, it has to be, his senses cannot be wrong
It smells like spring, tastes like spring, feels like spring, looks like spring and sounds like spring
Today is definitely the day and Hoppy cannot wait to see his friends
He sends the signal and the rabbit population are out together
Reunited in the sunshine
Together again after a long cold winter
Free to roam and play
Together
Free to explore the world using their five senses to define familiar things and discover new treasures
“Spring has definitely and most wonderfully sprung!”
This is a perfect book for spring and Easter.
