Book Tour: Let’s Tell A Story Pirate Adventure and Jungle Adventure

LET’S TELL A STORY!

Children love to lose themselves in the magic of story.

Whether it is narrating the small world games they play, recounting their day out with Granny, acting out scenes from books and TV with friends, snuggling up to listen to a story, being engrossed in a movie or reading their latest book.

Children are natural storytellers, they just need a little help and guidance to hone their skills.

The Let’s Tell A Story! series from Quarto Kids is the perfect playful resource for helping children to construct and tell stories with family and friends. Using a similar format to You Choose books or the old Choose Your Own Adventure series I loved as a child, these books offer children a toolbox of characters, settings, events and endings.

There are currently four books in this brilliant series written by Lily Murray for Quarto Kids

Pirate Adventure

Jungle Adventure

Fairytale Adventure

Space Adventure

These books are like a pick n mix of story elements allowing children to create millions of different story combinations. The options are endless and become even more exciting when you combine different books from the series!

We love to use these books as a family to plan, tell and act out stories. We love to plot stories on Story Mountains and create story maps. The children love to make up the silliest stories they can to make each other laugh.

While these books are enormous fun to read and share, to inspire imaginative play and creative writing they are are also incredibly valuable tools for young writers who struggle with a blank page.

These books guide little readers through a process that helps them piece together parts of a story and helps them to write it down if they want to or share it verbally.

Oral storytelling iis incredibly important and can be a lot of fun when stories are built and told collaboratively. These books give children inspiration and freedom to tell a tale of their own.

We love the bright and bold, fun design of these books. The illustrations are so detailed, encouraging children to look for the little details they can use to make their stories exciting and unique.

We love this series and we think that you will too.

Let’s have an adventure!
