Where Snow Angels Go #review

A few weeks ago I heard whispers about a magical new children’s book

Where Snow Angels Go

A first children’s book by author Maggie O’Farrell

I got sent pictures of the book by friends and online followers

I was told that I should read it

I bought the book

Planning to read it alongside some of our other special angel books

Books that we read when we think about our own angel

Baby Tilda

It was not until I was invited to join in with a Tandem Collective Readalong

That I finally read the book first to myself

Then to my older two children and then to Bea

It is not a book I think that Edie would really understand at 3

The rest of us however

Have fallen in love

We are all utterly under the spell of this contemporary fairytale

It has echoes of Pollyanna, The Secret Garden, Tom’s Midnight Garden

And yet it is a wonderfully unique book

Enchanting with the most stunning illustrations

No wonder there were so many whispers on the wind

This is a book set to be a classic

I hope that it might perhaps become a film

It is gorgeous

It is glorious

A tale that began as a story told by a mother

To reassure her frightened poorly child

It has become an exquisite picture book

Children’s literature at it’s best

A book for all ages

We have a copy for Granny for Christmas and for two very special Aunties

We are absolutely head over heels in love with this book

We have been sharing our thoughts over on Instagram

And now I would very much like to share them with you x

The book is available to buy from Walker Books UK

Where you can also find some lovely free printable activities for this book

And many other children’s books

Old and new

Perfect for some story time snuggles this Christmas and winter

Think we might all need some beautiful book magic

To see us through the coming weeks

We were sent two copies of the book as part of The Tandem Collective Readalong
We are passing both our copies on to friends and family
