Christmas Gift Ideas For Little Adventurers and Explorers

As my children grow older

There Christmas wish lists are getting smaller

And much more specific

William

William is all about being outside

Top of his list is this Forest School Den Kit

From The Den Kit Co

He wants to make dens and hideouts in the garden

He has also asked for a fire starting set

And we love the look of this Fire On A Plate Kit

William would like a Swiss Army Knife for Christmas

I have found this Climber Knife that I think might fit the bill

He has also asked for camouflage clothing

Next has some great bits including this zip through hoodie

I have found a really cute My First Adventure Kit

That would make a great stocking filler for any young adventurers

William has a tobacco tin on his Christmas list

Like this survival tin

He also wants a wire saw!!

Lots of these ideas are coming from one of his favourite books

The Lost Book of Adventure

It is a wonderful book and his inspired William to spend hours outside

Adventuring, exploring and being in nature

Esther also loves being outside

But she is all about nature and art

Esther also wants a den kit

She wants to set up a laboratory and an art studio in the garden

She has a beautiful easel that she was given for her birthday

It can be taken outside on her adventures

The den kit that Esther likes is a Cottage Garden Den Kit

I love the look of this as it has pastel bunting and

Comes in a beautiful blue satchel

It would allow Esther to set up her art and nature studies den

Esther would love a potion making kit

And I have also spotted a natural dye art kit which I am certain Esther would love

Esther has also asked for a whittling kit

I have found this children’s whittling set that comes with a book of inspiration and ideas

I can just imagine Esther outside in her den

Carving wooden animals

Esther get lots of her ideas and inspirations from a Lonely Planet Kids book

With the coming week set to be warm and sunny we are going wild! With the help of this amazing book from @lonelyplanet we are going to be making magic sticks, fizzy potions, magic dairy dust and dandelion wishes. We are going to explore flower fairy fashion and make weapons and armour for elves. We are going to make journey sticks and nature treasure hunt bracelets. There is so much inspiration in this book for getting creative outside with children of all ages. From making and decorating crowns and butterfly wings to making dragon eggs and baby dragons. There is also a gruesome troll and goblin nature scavenger hunt which my children are going to love! A brilliant book packed with ideas, step by step instructions, lots of illustrations and photos. Nature is so magical! We cannot wait to have a week being wild! #magicalnature #magicinnature #natureplay #letthemplay #letthembewild #wildlings #getoutside #letthembewildandfree #curiouslittleexplorers #outdoorplay #wildplay #naturalworld #wildthings #lonelyplanetkids #playfullearning #letthemplayoutside #forestschool #nature #naturekids #kidsinnature #earthweek #timetoplay #timetoplayoutside #imaginativeplay #creativeplay #sensoryplay #edspireedventures #bookishplay #childrensbooks #kidsbooks

Bea is also an outdoor girl

She loves making things using materials from the garden

She has asked for some woodwork tools for Christmas

So that she can make fairy doors and little houses

We have seen the perfect Haba children’s tools

At One Hundred Toys

A Haba Hacksaw

A Haba Wood Rasp Set

Haba also have a mini multifunctional vice

But I cannot find it in stock anywhere

That brings us to our youngest adventurer

When Edie is outside she is ALL about the mud kitchen!

I think she would love these coloured potion bottles from TTS

These giant potion bottles look magical too

She would also love these metal cans and tubs

For her messy imaginative play

I also think these giant teapots would be great fun

So many ways to play and explore with these playful learning resources

I am all for any gifts that will encourage the children to be outside

Engaging in active and imaginative play in nature

Do you have a curious little explorer at home?

A creative adventurer

What are they asking Father Christmas for this year?
